  3. Lamping the other week walking up an old track between some good fields, I switched the lamp on for a couple of seconds just to check for any obsticals and seen a pair of eyes coming towards me. Then when I switched back on there was a set of eyes behind the first pair, could see the first was a hare, and the second looked like a lurcher hunting it in the dark. As they came about twenty foot from me it was a hare and a fox, I had the both, the hare ran into a stump believe it or not and knocked itself out, the fox however was a bit trickier but had the fooker five minutes from getting out of
  4. Nice one mate, the only thing I been told about the collies is they sometimes struggle to finish the bigger stuff, don't get me wrong not all but a fair few. I really would like to get more info on the gwh x I think that would work well on these hills, plenty in the engine with them.
  5. Born to run - snap mate with regards to the ground you hunt, same country too. Just I haven't caught with my hound x yet, although she has with my uncle who owned her before me. Know a few boys using the collie x for day work and there is no doubt a descent one is a mighty handy companion on them tough hills all the best for the season mate.

  7. Any boys using their lurchers on the hill regularly?? If so what crosses you using and get some pics up. I use a bull/grey x foxhound/salukigrey for my day work when on a night shift week, thinking of getting a wirehaired pointer cross or similar to help her out a bit as the ground I have is harsh at best.
  8. Did you dress the rabbit up as a roll of Andrex mate? Lol only kidding big man, landed for you and the pup, knew she'd click, she should come out of her shell a bit now fingers crossed. And she looks top notch with you, well covered for a pup and looks in good nick.

  14. Leave the dogs have a good old sniff around her earth, keep the terrier leashed like. That should make her move cubs if she has them or go some were else to have them if she hasn't dropped.
  15. Is this guy serious? Funny fecker.
  16. Just a thought, I read an article in a paper months ago about a collie that had the same problem, vets said epilepsy but the woman wasn't happy with the diagnosis. She researched and had info off some guy in America to feed the dog on raw meat and veg, no crappy biscuit. It worked for her. The shit that goes into biscuit is shocking, worth a go.
