  1. I used to strip out my uncles borders with him, and the lively ones were hard work. what we used to do is take them for a long walk then feed them a good meal, seems to take the wind out of them, it worked for us any way. Yes you can over strip so my unkle says, and i did that alot at the begining, it is an art and you'l get better the more you do it. depending what dog your stripping it's usually plain to see if you take too much out. What ever you do dont risk clipping the dog with a shears, it looks ok on some dogs but not all.
  2. The dogs got a good diet, good grade biscuit some days and i also get alot of tripe and butchers waste.
  3. Thanks for the advice mate, I'm going to change the disinfectant. I give a dog a good check over after he's been worked, and diging on and working rocks does loosen his nail now and agin. cheers.

It doesnt matter if its warm or cold wet or dry his feet play up and i cant use him, he's a decent little dog and has served me well over the last 2 years, the other month he got bitten on the front paw and this just added to the problem. He sometimes looses toes and they bleed alot. The kennel is always clean and has saw dust underfoot. Any ideas lads of what i could treat it with? Any one else had this problem before? Cheers.
  8. Well mate you sure did start a duell off there. I couldnt give a flying f**k who's right or wrong to be honest, It's just good to see that youngsters like us are still fighting for what we believe in and working our little warriors and running our long dogs and putting two big fat fingures up to the ban. Like you say you tried sumin out that some one told you, we've all done that. I'm still on a learning curve when it comes to the terriers and lurchers and I've had them all my life. So let people think what they want and say what they want, only time will tell if the dog turns out class, and i
