  1. Try using some F10 as a part of the general husbandry. Apply and rub well into the feet, maybe about once a week. Available from, http://www.meadowsanimalhealthcare.co.uk/shopframesf10.html Any of the F10 range are worthwhile having, you can use the undiluted disanfectant in the baths, it stops algie forming, totaly safe if the bird drinks the water & is used through a fogger or nebuliser for asper. HTH.

    Another Day Out

Simple to rectify, just deleted all my pictures & typescript in all my threads. No more explaining to do & no more threads, simple!
  3. This is actually quite childish & an immature thing to do. C'mon, this guy has made a mistake, sent a PM to a member by mistake. Surely the decent or even civil thing to have done, is to have PM the sender and let them know, that you received it somehow by mistake? And then simply deleted it. Not taking sides but this is simply shit stirring, instigating, call it what you may. And before anyone say/mentions about taking sides or anything else, you will see from my profile, i joined here back in Feb, long before this thread kicked off.
  4. I had a '95 model, wasn't the worst, but there were issue's with the free wheeling hubs on the front end. One packed it in, in the mud & then several months later the other one gave in, again, when i was needing the 4x4 drive. It ended up costing £300 per side to replace them. Also, anyone running a Terrano, use the Ford spares rather than Nissan, you will save £'s on the parts, especially things like drop links. If i remember correctly, Nissan wanter about £90 per link per side, Ford was around £ for the two. Fuel economy was approx 28mpg urban use, no better or worse th
  5. Wow, what a one sided thread. I would have thought myself, that this is one of the routes that Mr canning should or would be taking. To find out who stole the parent birds?? I see what Mr canning is saying, that the RSPB/DOE has set up falcon breeders, as the title of this topic shows. So why are you attacking Mr Hunter in an open forum, it's not as though the statement he provided, was the reason you were prosecuted. From what i have read here, you are constantly asking the same question over & over again (broken record i think the psychiatrists & Psychologists call it).

    NOVICE

Do something as kat suggests, go on a hawk walk & then consider doing a course, if there is no one near to look out for you and keep you right. It's not just the fieldcraft & general husbandry you have to learn, but you have to be able to pick up on signs of ill health as well. Some good books are Art & Practice of Falconry, Revised Edition. Emma Ford. Falconry basics. Tony Hall. these are ideal books to educate yourself on the begginings of falconry, but remember, it isn't just about buying the bird. You have to build a flight, scales, glove, telemetry. So
  7. If it is the IFF you mean, then you will have to complete your profile before you can view threads etc.
  8. Also the Deerhunter Shellbrook range in trousers are light weight and comfy. Double lined, warm, some water resistance. I wore a pair quite high in the Cairngorms in November, through rain & snow. Granted they got wet, but i never felt it & still felt warn on. Cost about £30 a pair. http://www.deerhunter.dk/Default.aspx?ID=4...ShopGroupID=944

  10. But yourself a good book, something like, Emma Ford, The Art & Practice Of falconry, Revised Edition. This will help you get your head around some of the issue's and requirements to keep & house a BOP. The flight should be as large as you can possibly make it, so what ever spare ground you can use up. You could get away with a 6'x6'x7' high, but ideally longer if you can make it that. Leave about a third of the roof open/cover with mesh for the bird to weather in, if you cannot sit it out on a bow perch on a daily basis. The point of the roof being open allows the bird to
