  2. No cant be right, obviously some kids got hold of the scented drag and dumped it on their drive, and the hounds followed the trail there. People in the house were confused by the situation, seeing the hounds tearing apart a red teddybear which had been used to soak up the scent for the trail. Only explainaition i can think of

  7. Hywel Thanks for that info [bANNED TEXT], I went yesterday to the St. Donaughts area, where we seen loads on the lamp. Tried a few warrens where we saw rabbits running on lamp. Nothing, ferret not even interested. Went back to farm near City had 3 bolts and ferret peged one on hole but still very poor ferret even turned up with fresh rabbit skull? I think the problem is very bad and extensive How bad have you found it down that area ? Anyone else expieriencing big problems ? Cheers
  8. OOOOPS HIT THE ENTER BUTTON :11: :11:
  9. Ive had ferrets on and off for years, but only worked one at a time. Today i thought id try two. The hob is the farther of the jill but hasnt been with her since she was born. I introduced them both today before working them, and this is where i think i went wrong. Firstly he bit the jill on the muzzle but released her streight away, them he sniffed about and i thought they were fine. I wasnt expecting much of the jill as it was her first time, but the hob has worked very well for me in the past on his own. Anyway the jill did enter the warren but was very wary, But the hob entered the war

  13. HAWKEYE Cant you report them to the Environmental Health Dept. Tell them about the smell and that you are at your wits end about the noise these dogs are making. Maybe then they will take it on and contact the RSPCA themselves keeping you anon.

  16. Are you sure they are not travelling from another property, as this can sometimes be the case with cavity walls, unless its detached. :search: On the other hand has he actually seen them, if hes only heard them, is there a possibility it could be the tree rat. Then you ve got a whole new ball game
  17. This land is down the Vale, Cowbridge area, But its not the only farm, theres another a few miles away with it but not as bad. well it wasnt the last time i went. I spoke to some lads in Aberthaw area cos they were badly hit last year , nearly wiped out, on an isolated farm. They are adement that no mixi had been put down, and that it was a natural cause. Can this happen ?
  18. Gutted! at the start of the season, i went lamping rabbits on a very highley populated area, where its nothing to see 30+ rabbits in a field. On the way back to my vehicle we were stopped by a patrol car, and questioned about what we were doing. ( lamp in one hand, two whipet grayhound Xs and a hand full of bunnies) :11: He asked where we were from and who owened the fields. I rattled some names off and he accepted what i was telling him and he was on his way. One the way home i thought to myself that someone must have reported me as ive never seen an officer there before, its i
