fresh rabbit, chopped into chunks, look at dogs that are fed on tinned dog food, there glands get full up because the arse aint working the way it was made to, the anal glands are there for a reason, to help expel bones/hard matter, if they only ever expel soft, the glands fill up dont know if a fert have these glands, but ferts, even kitts are meat/ bone eaters, not soft food eaters They do have anal glands which can get impacted or even infected I had an oldie with a little bit of back end paralysis and his glands became infected. a friend lost several ferrets after eating slugs that had eaten slug pellets,so best not to let them if possible

i feed mine about the same mixture ,my lot must be fussy sods too they wont eat hare either and fox just makes them fuzz up like pom poms and wont go near it

I found a decent vet really cheap knows quite a bit about ferrets too ,ive been to quite a few before i found this one and had unbelievable bills ,just vote with your feet if your not satisfied ,plus telephone up first for a price and shop around your not tied to one vet

It does all boil down to lack of discipline ,there is no manners or courtesy anymore .When I was school age a few years ago, I was caught misbehaving and the blackboard rubber was thrown at me ,didnt dare tell my parents what had happened because I would have been clobbered again from them for not behaving.I hope ive brought my 2 kids up to remember to be polite and always use their manners .I'm not saying the teacher was right in battering the lad but god knows what they was up to to drive him to do it in the first place,the teachers of today must have patience of a saint to try and teach the

my old dog was a bugger for ripping hedgehogs up ,used to spend ages plucking the spines out her mouth and de fleaing her ,in the end i had to go on patrol at night in the garden and move them before letting the dog out
