  7. Was up at the farm last night as a few foxes have been seen and heard at night. After getting setup at the bottom of a large field and with the wind in my face i started sweeping the field with the lamp. After a couple of minutes i saw 2 foxes running together from 1 side of the field to the other. The foxes were at the top of the field 237yds away. I gave a couple of loud squeaks and 1 of the foxes stopped to look. I took a steady aim and fired. The fox flopped over onto its side and lay still. The other fox legged it quick!! Walked up to where the fox lay and i could see that the bullet had

Have been offered a sako finnfire in .22lr in mint condition and having looked at the pics i was sent think it really does look good! Hopefully the variation won't take too long! ATB Daz
  10. Thanks for the info mate, i currently use the 22-250 for fox and roe deer. Also i have got an "open" ticket so i can use my firearms on any land i have permission on. With no conditions imposed by the chief of police. I currently reload for my 22-250 and would like to do the same for the deer calibre. Am looking into 6.5x55 swedish, 7m-08 and possibly .308 Cheers Daz

  16. Cheers lads i really was chuffed to bits! Can really recommend Lee Robb from sporting safari scotland, we saw lots of Roe deer and he even took me out later to try and nail a troublesome fox. But lady luck was on its side and he got away!! ATB Daz :D

  18. Hi thought i'd tell you about my first deer stalking trip!! Travelled across scotland before lunch and met Lee Robb (shooting guide)at the b&b i was booked into. Soon after we jumped in his 4x4 and sped off to a farm that he had spotted deer on as he came to meet me. When we arrived at the farm we spotted 3 roe does close to the edge of a field of rape some 300+yds away. Lee gave me a few ideas about where i should stalk to get close enough for a shot. So following his directions and being as quiet as i could i set off to stalk my first roe deer! After creeping down the side of the wo
