    It was only doubled up until around Xmas .then more land would open up for us after the shooting . Then it was single handed . We was out 3 to 4 times a week . My dogs were nearly always knocked out in the first or 2nd round of the doubles but it got them fit at a time When I did not have 1 farm to my name . They was excellent days before the ban .no bragging , no short slips , no mobile phones going off . Just a thoroughly good day out with like minded people. And there was some excellent dogs .

    I'm certainly not fooling myself , you probably don't regard my opinion as you will not of heard of me as I am not match man , nor do I get into petty arguments,I don't normally post on here but I feel I am qualified in this case more than most.I can only Speak up for a dog who I have seen run over 2 seasons week in week out over winter . He was first class , strong ,quick with lots of stamina and a massive heart. He would still be pulling to run after an 8 hour day, he caught lots more than his fare share and did it with style , what more could you want from a dog especially as it was brough

    I've seen this dog run over 4o times and run at least 4 every time I've been , the dog has speed , stamina and can run for fun . And I'm not talking about jumping out of a motor and slipping on there back either .

    You are talking about young rambo who was out of jan jack and macs old bitch Jess .My dad had the full litter sister called pearl , he gave it to him as he was already running the other sister bess and Rambo.My da will allways be gratefull for that as he had no dog to run due to his own snapping his hock .     not every farmer wants people walking there land ,most farmers that despise hare hunters do so because of previous experiences.If you are lucky enough to find a landowner that will let you have a walk in winter then youve done well

    Well gangs of blokes either driving or walking across land they have no permission on aren't doing anyone any favours imo. The media will obviously concentrate on these people, and emphasise the more lurid stories,,ie damage to crops abuse to farmers, stolen farm equipment etc.In no way am I suggesting that all or even most lads do this , but there is a small minority that have made it bad news for the rest of dog men imo.
