  1. Sounds spiffing old boy! Just sold the apartment overlooking the Thames for a couple of mil, not enough room for the ponies you know! Only joking, I'm from the poor Welsh valleys. Don't be so greedy, you'll be sick of it soon!
  2. I need to move house, desperately! I'm really into my running dogs, I have both Whippets and Lurchers, and also ferrets. I live in South Wales at the moment and am getting a bit peed off with having to travel miles for a bit of sport. I enjoy working my dogs on all quarry (pre-ban ) and want to move anywhere in the UK or Ireland, ideally somewhere which has as many quarry species as possible. Obviously house prices are an issue, I haven't got a fortune so somewhere where the prices are not too crazy is a must, and also somewhere where the landowners appreciate what we do for them and are hap

  4. I've posted some pics of my whippets if you want to have a look. The thread was called 'Some of Mike Brown's Whippets'. You'l see these are quite strong dogs, no need of bull blood in them. Peoples opinions are that Mike Brown put some bull blood into them years ago. I'm not sure about this but they are all KC reg whippets.

  8. I have a Collie Greyhound/ Bull Greyhound that stands at 23" to the shoulder. She does very well on the big stuff and also very good at rabbits but there's always room fo improvement. I bred her to a Whippet dog of around 20" and she produced pups of 22" upwards which a couple of my friends run and are first class dogs. One in particular lives in top class rabbiting ground and the guy has lamped him 10 nights on the trot, killing around rabbits and a few other bits and pieces. I think what you're proposing is a good idea. If you need the use of a Whippet dog PM me. I'm in South Wales too. Hop
