Thing is mate ,I don’t need any scale of any sort to ID something having seen thousands of images in the thermal .You state it’s either a fox or house cat but to me it’s crystal clear what it is as soon as it moved. My point was to illustrate that thermal pics ,vids might one day reveal large cats are here but only if the viewer can ID it as cat in the first place which you yourself and others weren’t able to do in this instance .Grainy or not those who look through thermal regular will know exactly what they are looking at from the moment it moves and the size of it too without the need f

Ok so I’ve seen several lads look in that have seen large cats but no one wants to ID this with certainty .It’s not a trick pic .I’m not going to ridicule anyone so what is it . Positive ID please ??

Agreed mate .Took me a year to get to grips with it after mistaking hares for badgers on the cull .It was only by looking through the night vision on the rifle I could ID for certain .Thermal scopes are a no no for me and I know of a few mishaps locally . Movement is the key to any thermal spotting combined with nv ID .

Agreed mate but no different to some pics we are told is defo a large cat .I put this up to see if there’s actually anyone on here who gets out regular enough to ID that from experience .It’s not a trick pic ??
