    Lads I know who still are hunting don't have hare dogs, it's never really been their thing around here, it was always teeth & deer and a bit of rabbiting, i was always enthralled by the hare though, proper athletes aren't they. I'll come for a walk out though and see if the coursing breds live up to the hype.

    Obviously you'd say no now, but at 20 would you be more tempted? Some people are fortunate to retire early regardless but I'm talking about us bottom feeders, I'd be very tempted, retirement age 40, luxury!

    I seriously can't understand some folk. Would rather work to 67 and take their chances to enjoy 5-10 years of retirement before they turn in to geriatrics. Retiring at 40 and having a good 30 years retirement whilst near their peak, no-brainer for me.

    When I was ten i got my uncles patterdale stuck in some tar, had to roll him up in an old carpet to carry him back home. Lol

    Great stuff, but I think it's really a post in response to relatively short retirement age that is only getting shorter. It's not as though we are any healthier, the reality is although more people might be reaching old age, a large portion of that is with poor health, is that really living? Wouldn't you sooner retire in the prime of your life and enjoy retirement closer to your peak? Of course it would never work as every individual is different, some men at 70 are fitter than people 20 years younger, but, there has to be a cut off, it would be impossible to assess people individually.

    I dread to think what the retirement age will be for me, I've still got over 20 years to go.
