Can they do that with the best of dogs on it's first run though? They say the best of hares will beat the best of dogs? I'm not sure mate, they might escape in cover and shake a dog, but hypothetically, if both were on a huge fen with no cover, and it came down to which will outrun the other, I'd put money on the dog.

I agree with you both, but the thing is, the dog can only run what's in front of it. An average dog can make a an average hare look great, a poor hare can make an average dog look great. I'm sick of the talk, when you gift me the pick of the litter I'll show mC what fast dogs can do! Lol

I think mC is saying the best dogs won't be catching the best hares in one or two minutes. I'm not sure I necessarily agree with him but it's impossible to guage, some men claim that it shouldn't take 3 mins for the best dogs to make the kill. Lol

He did mate, I was laughing listening to him go on. He did call bulldozer a cart horse as well, surprising cos I thought that's the kinda dog he would like. Lol
