hi all we were out for a few hours ferreting me and a couple of mates, and done quit a few borrows, but were just drawing blanks. we started wonder what the hell was going on when one of the boys went for a strool with the gun while me and the mate stayed behind waiting for the ferret to stop playing peek aboos out of the borrow this was realy starting to piss me of but she is young and i did not want to snatch at her half an hour later she was in the box, the little shit banned from any more play that evening. any way walk to the next field heard a few shots and seen one of boys

i would to get this gun checked out, sounds very unsafe i think to heavy a load

they been put in the freezer the day they were caught ditch so should be ok. so what other critters have you ever feed folks?

cheers lads, mates freezer full of them so he needs to rehome a few thats been in there a while so i guess fish will be on the menu soon.

just wondering would it be alright to feed ferrets the odd fish now and then.just wondering whats your veiws are ? how often etc etc ? or can they just about eat any thing raw. mines are feed on a diet of rabbit,duck, wood pigeon.

I was asked to pick up on a shoot today never been there before.usually on the shoots i work on I know the keepers or land owners and never get a penny but I do get pigeon shooting and places to train me dogs and one shoot me own rabbit pen.Today on this shoot I was told to take a couple of brace quite happy with that ..but feck me I got 30 quid ,and can I go again..All in all result The Bag 119 phesent 16 partridge .18 Pigeon 8 woodcock [very big woodcock] 35 duck..not a bad day all in all out to day picking up first ten birds dog was perfect on the whistle,lefts,rights,backs, then sen

I'd only add to that: Don't tell the rescue ye want to work them ~ "Them"? Ye'll want two or three ~ and say they're for pets. Wear a 'nice' jumper when ye go to enquire. Also, look out a book by Val Porter and Nicholas Brown. Published by Pelham a couple of decades or so back. That was in the days before people fed ferrets recycled vet kill. It'll teach ye more about ferrets than half the people on this forum actually know. It's also a f*cking good read That aside? Read Stubby again. Digest it. yep it's more research i think, well it was a long shot but you never know. i sopoes they could be nasty if they wanted .i have been told by [tom, dick n harry] there visous and the people they know who have been bit. any animal will bite mate, depends how you look after it, if you had a dog, that you chucked food too, never handled or played with, never respected, then Im sure one day it would bite you, the same goes for anything, even us humans, any work animal or pet, will only give, what you put into it, treat it with respect and kindess and you'll reap the rewards from it,

well it is my first time keeping ferrits, i am used to going out with the gun and my two labs.but latley have found after walking for very long distances theres very little above ground. seeing plenty of signs that there, there. so any boddy about my neck of the woods has or knows of one that would be brill. it would need to be very tame and be well handled. any tips on keeping them would be great .cheers horse.

my biggest 4ld, and got a hell of a fight. bet you had some fun with them boys. tryed the fly rod this year found it very hard to get on to.but will keep at it.love the old worm,just waiting for that rod tip to start and dance,,magic,plenty of sea trout and salmon up are country but yery hard to come a cross brownes that size.
