  1. Sadly not mate, gladly I do have offspring from him though.
  2. Collie Bull Greyhound mate.
  3. Eddie he had a great temperament and was a pleasure to rear and run through out his career, he will of been in his second season in this picture. Explosive could be used to describe his style, he was great to watch.
  4. My mates dog lived on the sofa after he retired got to 15, it had Malinois and coursing dog in its make up quite big at 29tts. He was a handy animal.
  5. I prefer no roof on the runs so the dogs are able to lie in the sun if they prefer.
  6. Saves loads of time, much easier to spot/locate quarry and wander about where your not supposed to be undetected. The dog still has to catch what you find though. Its called progress which for me in this case is for the better. The downside is the shooters are wiping areas clean of quarry with it.
  7. Its very hard to watch dogs and people get old and fade even harder as oneself is ageing, walking past a mirror looking into it and thinking who's that old fecker staring at is also hard lol
  8. TBH I enjoy watching game in its natural environment as much as I do chasing it these days, which I never thought I would I would say Seeing game hanging does not have the same appeal to me these days as it did even 10 year ago, although the adrenaline rush of the chase never wears thin, especially deer.
  9. The one sure thing in life is change, either change with it or get left behind in the past.
  10. Topic is supposed to be about lampers!
  11. Larry do excuse him panting to cool down he has just done 5 mile alongside the quad!
  12. Saluki saturated coursing bred bitch
  13. Am I right in thinking its nicknamed the black land by the day walker coursing saluki worshipers?
  14. The same beddy whippet grey again I remember taking the odd daytime hare on small fields with him.
  15. Late 80s, this dog was beddy whippet greyhound mix. He was used for Rabbit hare roe and the odd fox on the lamp. British telecom ex fleet metro
  16. Mid 90s This dog is no relation to what I have now he was a beardie border mix, good on roe but lacked on the bigger deer. I remember this one well but not because of the good action more like lack of it, a short run and then he bounced off a gate, a nice big buck though.
  17. Modern camera's and digital photography are crystal clear. There is something I love about old pictures though, maybe its the history and memories that come threw on them that seems to draw you in? keep them coming
  18. The one I saw which my mate owned I think had some coursing blood in its makeup, it ran like a lamping dog though no messing about just got the job done.
  19. Bull is just part of the jigsaw I dont like to much in my lurchers, with the litters I bred the smooth coated bully looking ones were not as good as the rougher coated looking collie ones. Bull determination with collie brains is a good combination.
  20. Saw a handy dog with Malinois in its breeding.
