Your right a basic question but more of a I’ve never experienced this before have you guys type question,7 out of 1 garden,yes 7!!got another last week and there’s still another bugger I’ve been trying to catch this week he’s just digging up traps going round them etc you know the type,makes checking the traps better, like a battle of man and mole I will get him and any other who takes his place just like the 7 previous ??? i will post a picture of a new field I’m about to start,you can help if you want il need it

I would say yes,but you know what this time of years like,but I would say there’s not much distance you can go without seeing a range,they seem to be everywhere specially near the coast I think they must like the sandy ground as the parks just of the bents are riddled with them.i know a few older lads who would have used strike9 in the day but they won’t trap

I do charge if they want it done mate, and maintenance,but a lot of my mole catching is keeping the farmers happy that let me use there land for my more important to me hobby.Its my way of saying thankyou and not paying to shoot

No not at all mate no pressure involved,I just enjoy doing it and it’s rewards,I have made a lot of people happy doing it

Are they based on the Bob Merrin trap?i see a video on YouTube on how to make em,not that big a secret really

I am thinking your traps are similar to duffus trap mechanism but fully enclosed with wood rather than metal

Duffus traps and scissors traps back then I was just a kid and used to love going out checking the traps after a morning ferreting,aaa the good old days

Very good,yes I am catching Moles and work with what I’ve got,but just like learning and gathering as much info on a subject as possible and would like to have my own opinion on those traps just like you do

Yes I know but you coudnt wait to get a pic up could you ??? i don’t know what I prefer as I’ve never tryed a trap like that but if I did perhaps I would prefer it too just like you,there’s no way you never started mole trapping with those nowadays metal commercial type traps you speak of,lol I was using those metal traps 35yrs ago not exactly nowadays

Thx,it’s internals are all custom too,that’s a change of stock today usually sits in a 800thumbhole which it left the factory in I just gave it a light rub down and a fresh oil on Friday and Saturday so put the cs700skeleton on today to get out with it?

Went out a couple hours this morning hoping for a bandit or 2,heard a few in area seen 1 in distance but no luck,a good few pigeons on the sitty tree earlier but never shot them as heard bandits close.in the end I was running out of free time so decided to take a couple woodies home with me for my effort,both head shot at my 47yds spot with the rapid. Happy hunting Dave
