  1. Hi not sure I’m in the correct thread location here, mods please move if not. i shot a rook today it in all my years shooting I’ve not seen a rook/Corvid with growths like this,I would greatly appreciate if anyone could shed some light on it,I’m assuming it’s a vitamins defiancey or cancerous lumps thanks in advance
  2. Out today again 44 a rook and a crow
  3. Went out today 5pm to shoot the crows on the milky barley as was busy through the day, first 2 shots a couple pigeons thought I’d put them out with 2 decoys, ended up building a nice pattern and well! they just kept coming ended up with 74 and not a crow in sight, just ended up in a perfect flight line to the next park seems they were mad for the clover,Baxter will sleep well tonight
  4. Mine loves eley subs too,but had a job getting them a while round here, but it also likes 42gwinmax so using them at the moment,it also likes rws
  5. Is there any 1417 owners think the spent cartridge ejection in the rifle isn’t the best,I find you have to bolt it very intent for it to throw a spent case clear?in comparison to a cz they throw the case very well.
  6. Lol I’m not sure what that means either, but it does look small, but you can clearly see the reflection of rifle in nice shiny motor door
  7. I’ve never thought about a new stock as happy with the one in it,but il have a window shop
  8. Thx,it’s a great perm, got everything there from woodies to roe
  9. That would be a great addition to the rifle, any idea on price?i really like the thumbhole and glad I took it rather than the standard sporter
  10. Bog standard 1417 thumbhole, great rifle imo very accurate and handle very well,I don’t think it’s heavy feels light actually, shot a million rounds through an old Bruno and upgraded to this
  11. Out with rimmy for an hour,a few nice buck rabbits for the pot for my efforts on a lovely evening
  12. Shot this big nest robbing crow,he was a resident and has been seen several times gobbling chicks shot him hanging about a blackbirds brood
  13. I don’t think there’s ever a way of guaranteeing a perfect catch,we’ve all had some bad catches right?even when you have taken the time to set the trap as perfect as you can.if you set the traps your trying to catch moles .
  14. Here’s 1 yesterday in the talpex,as mentioned the mole in question was a putange bulldozer,he tryed bulldozing the talpex and it was game over for him.
  15. This is what I have been doing, the combination of the 2 trap types leaves the mole with borrowed time
  16. Yes I agree and think there great traps due to the success rate,as mentioned the 1 downfall is it takes time to check them in situ.
  17. The 2 upright legs on the putange have closed right in the side of the neck/head
  18. Caught a few more since last post, here’s the most recent in trap yesterday
  19. +1 for fac rapid, love my 1 a mk2 .22 ,a real tack driver and so easy to maintain yourself, bombproof ultimate hunting rifle imo
  20. Yes that would make perfect sense to me,they go where the food is like all of God’s great creatures
  21. I totally agree with what your saying about forums. No that photo doesn’t actually show the full mess it goes on and on,Anyway thanks for the experience/banter and fair well,I wish you well in all you do
  22. Yes that makes perfect sense.look at it this way if you set up traps for catching thirsty men I guess setting them on route to there local licensed premise would be prolific..?
