What advantages or extras does this cross bring over a pure spaniel, don't they have enough drive?

I own a spaniel ans have owned a couple of spaniels , a spaniel hunts completely diffrent than a terrier spaniel,  a spaniel will work all day and flush stuff ro you , for you , add terrier to the mix and you have a dog that actively wants to kill what it's hunting , so hunts diffrent than a spaniel , plus most bushing lads don't want there spaniel quartering the field on days out , i don't think for bushing you can beat a terrier but terriers are c**ts for the most part drop in and ignore you , adding spaniel gives them that little bit more trainable

Yeah shes bull terrier x not something idve have done or thought to do but shes producing the goods as youve seen. Thats the thing with pointers there so varied seen some monsters and some smalluns seen some look like they carry bull already. Might be a case of putting the father back to a gundog of some sort yet as ill be very surprised if this bitch produces herself she just seems like one of those dogs.

Yea she looks handy mate ,and as u say maybe a one off kinda dog but unless you try you'll never know , as with the pointers yes they vary a bit and with it been half pointer they might end up alittle to big for what your after , you could alway chuck a Wheaton over her for the coat and end up with a dog aggressive mess lol

That was my bull spaniel ya seen i been speaking to your mate who done the litter. She aint mute either shell get a good yap on but only when shes tight to stuff. Im thinking small pointer to her to add abit of coat tbh. The black n tan dog n hes family are good at what there for but different animals in fairness

She looked a handy bitch mate fair play , was the bull blood ebt , she looked long in the face on the vid but vids can be deceiving,  she's looks like she got a fair turn of speed ro her too , a wee handy bitch you got there,if you go for a pointer there some decent lines of small solid pointers in uk that won't  mess around when it comes to teeth , but coats can vary a bit , I have pointer here seen couple out the litter but coats vary mines long in coat but not very thick , but seen pup from same mating and it's coat was short but thick , Moorman1 of here got a decent bred strong black pointer dog

Yeah she first x. I know who bred bosuns had a chat with him i think theres only bitches in that litter

My mate bred them , There was one dog in litter seen it work and it it had very little spaniel attributes about it , basically a full bull with big ears , was a c**t round live stock aswell had hold sheep lol , litter bitches all seemed to make similar size shape etc  but the dog was huge , dont think there many litter of that type bred , probably better putting that black and tan terrier of yours to it or like you say try do a first cross litter yourself , a mate mine sent me couple videos the other day with a white terrier doing some decent stuff bushing and on the lamp ,  ( well what was seen on video anyway ) but to me didn't look like a full terrier had a long muzzle on it and that ebt look about it , was faster than a terrier , mute aswell while chasing quarry but I'm sure it was a bitch will have look  see if still got the vids see if it dog or bitch

if a chuffing great red stag can hide in the south midlands countryside for years before finally being flushed from a covert by a pack of fox hounds, how easy do you think a cat would find it.

Big red stag probably been seen by hundreds off people who didn't give a flying shit about seeing it so why would they say anything lol ,

Rumoured to be is not the same as an actual population like the other cats you are quoting, Lets say there's 2 big cats wild in our countryside, the chances of them being seen are roughly zero

How are you working that out ,statistics wise , are country is more populated even in the countryside , no real big forests or places of vegetation where people don't go , it's not like america or India etc there vast so less chance of been seeing UK however tou can't go anywhere in country side without bumping in to some one ,

The problem with you theory is, There are a lot fewer real big cats roaming our countryside than there are hens with teeth, They are elusive in there own countries even when there populations are relatively high, ask how many Indians have ever seen a tiger?, Putting a video up if you were the only person in the UK to shoot one would bring down a tonn of shite on the person who did post it.

If there was one in the UK If it got killed it would be posted , u dint have to agree with that that's my opinion,  as of my theory been wrong you clearly underestimate the stupidity of most hunting folk today , your saying no one would post pics of a dead cat because of a tonne of shit ??? But people post pictures of thousands of pounds worth of drugs what you'd do 20 year in side for , have you not seen the pics and videos put on social media of the killings ans shootings in the UK and Ireland,  bloody he'll there was pictures what a killer from Ireland put up of a young lad that they cut his head arms hands feet and genitals off , ans you think that people wouldn't post a pic of a cat because they would get in shit ? There are young drug dealers posting stupid shit every day , plenty lads posting videos of terrier work on brock ans lurchers on brock and deer , shit they even put it on face book under there own name so the theory of someone not posting for getting in a tonne of trouble doesn't hold water

i have to disagree with that mate,

Lampers , diggers , shooters , drugdealers ,even murders can't help but put shit on social media and you think some clown with a snare , gun , trap or hiting kne with a car wouldn't post it to a mate or social media , people video and  take pics of people dieing in car crashes falling from buildings etc etc , all ends up on the net and u don't think someone would post a big cat ? There nor here , as much as people want to belive there are there not , more chance pulling nessey out of a lake on your next perch fishing trip than snagging a big cat

A few points here. If lets say someone did shoot one, Would they tell anyone as they would be likely to be in breech of the conditions that there license was issued under? If They did go to the authorities, would the authorities want this to get out to the general public? Would it all be covered up for the sake of public safety? would the police and the EA be complicit in any cover up?, All pre loaded questions as i know the answers already.

No it would be plasterd all over the net same as everything else thats not ment be on the great wide Web

Did they fight till death ?

A lot of dogs will die after fights as sometimes a dog will be aloud to go past the point of no rerturn so to speak , any good dog handler should no if his dog is out matched and beaten, then he could ask who ever he was matching if he could scratch after ( so if your dog was beat and you new it you can step in pick your dog up and then scratch one l’art time to see if your dog was still game to continue by crossing the pit and taking hold of the other dog , that way the dog goes down as 1 x LG ( lost but still game ) . Some lads tho didn’t give a shit about there dogs , some lads had better medical after care and knowledge better than most medically trained first response teams , that’s the difference in dog men and men who kept dogs

I wish I had taken the time to learn how to snare..  it would be nice to set a few and then go drop a net  collecting snares on the way back..

When I tap the peg on my boot the rabbits in the fields next to me would get up and go...

Give it ago mate its pretty addictive,  I started not long ago and although I was trying to snare on shite ground ( grass to high no clear runs etc etc ) its pretty addictive,  snared rabbits phesant and a hare since starting and it's a nice skill to have , will be doing plenty more come season ,
