  1. Red tail no mater how fit isn't going be taking phesants in fair flight or pigeon, pigeons are a pain in the arse anyway, they will take them from following on , from soaring , and off the fist if you kick them up right under your feet but that's it , Goss are the way to go for feather ,

The floor will probably be rush matting. The sort you get in Wiko for use on the beach. My old canoe had a thin removable ply floor but l replaced it with the matting when the ply rotted . Neither the dog or  l ever put a foot through the canvas. In fact canvas is surprisingly strong. I got badly hooked up in the dark on the end of a submerged branch once . The tide was falling so l was getting more hung-up by the second. I shifted everything including myself to the very back of the canoe and managed to get the weight off the snag. Then paddled back with the dog on my lap to keep what l assumed was the damaged front end of the canoe out of the water.  When l looked in the daylight there  wasn't  even a mark  let alone a hole. I'd been fully prepared for a swim!?

Waterproofing is still in question . I  used a part tin of oil- based paint from a decorator neighbour  on my first canoe .

Not sure oil based paint is still available though, not at a reasonable price anyway.   I don't think stuff like the modern rubberised surface coats or  builders' black sealant paint will  be much good on their own  because l think they'll just coat the outside and l need something to soak into the fabric or it'll rot from the inside.

Linseed oil is an option for a base coat because it'll soak all the way through. The "dope" used on aircraft wings  is a possibility.

Anyway painting should be the easy bit!???

For the wood work are you copying any plans ?

Is it true that if you breed two merle dogs together most of litter will be either deaf or blind or is it a myth

True  to a degree , no expert but breeding two Merle collies together is a big no no to many risks I no lads who have done it ans somw not all pups were blind or deaf , mainly the white,er pups were deaf ,

Place was a joke , propper clicky , some lads could stick pics deer fox and hare up and if he was part the click he'd have his dick stroked , then someone else put a pic up of a hare and would get shit like " not worth going out for 1 " etc etc was just  cock stroking place for couple members ,glad I got banned ??

Just curious to as why lads would do this cross and I’m not having a dig at anyone, each to their own but would u not be best off with a pure bulldog or a proper Wheaton, what’s the point of the cross diluting blood. I know you can say to give a better coat but if you want a dog with jacket why not keep full wheatons? And if you need put gameness into your wheatons and feel the need for bull blood well then I’d be questioning that line of dogs to begin with?? Surely you wouldn’t keep a bitch and tell yourself well she’s not great but fuvk it it’s a Wheaton I’ll just throw a bull over it and hope for good pups?? Why keep that dog at all ?? It’s gonna crop up it’s head again down the line. I never kept either breed just my opinion

I'm no expert on Wheaton or bulls so my opinion doesn't mean much but like has already been said I think it would be mainly for coat , I've kept full bulls and a bull without any marks on it brings unwanted attention a bull with marks on it and your labeled a dog fighter by any one who accidentally sees it , adding coat to it most people wouldn't even look at it or give it a second though, ..as for people saying just use a full Wheaton,  we'll unless your part of the secret squirrel club you won't get your hands on these mythical game bred Wheaton,  everyone I know who's had a full Wheaton off supposed good stuff never seemed to stay long and never turned out to be as game as were made out to be, however I understand people will say don't use a mediocre Wheaton and add bull to make it more game because its not 100% but if the person who does it is honest with the people he gifts the pups too they can take there chances and cull whatever doesn't make the grade , the problem would be if there pups were been bred for profit and people been sold a lie , I would personally take a chance on a bull x Wheaton even if the Wheaton was mediocre  as long as the bull was the real deal as a bull with a bit of coat would be ideal , I'm not realy to keen on the full Wheaton but the couple of bull Wheaton I've seen I've liked the look of ( and I know looks don't get job done its just preference) if it doesn't make the grade you cull accordingly and not pass it on, in my eyes it's no diffrent than someone adding beddy to a whippet to add coat , or a grey hound to a collie to produce speed,

look at it this way ban all leagal guns when a crim with an illegal gun(as that is what is left)enters your house and kills everyone as you can not defend yourself against an armed intruder.just like banning hand guns in this country all leagally held guns have gone yet the criminals have no problem getting their hands on them.then you are left with a handfull of armed police to protect millions.or another view is lets ban shotguns as they are dangerous but you could easily kill a lot more people with a car yet any asshole can get a driving license.what is needed in america is to stop all loonies, retards from owning any sort of gun.

I'm not saying ban all guns , that's just stupid ans would never work , but getting a gun in England is no easy task and when someone does its a old shotgun , they can't just nip Walmart and buy a sub machine gun just because there over 18 , there readily avaliable on most street shops ans in people's homes , probably 40 to 50 guns for every single person ,

once they take your guns you end up like us in the uk pathetic with no fight left in us just letting them in charge walk all over you

do you think they do it to help us??

No not at all the government are scumbags ,,, however I don't think that us having guns would change hoe we are , we don't realy riot like hoe other country's do over fuel , rent , taxes etc etc and I don't think that's because we don't have an ar15 under are beds to blow people away with , us having guns doesn't define who we are , we're brithish we're stubborn c**ts who most time live in a world where if its not affecting us directly we bury are head in the sand and pretend it's not happing , I just don't belive that having an arsenal of 35 guns in are house would change that , ...I'm all for been able to defend your home and family but come on mate you got agree,  having more guns in your house than a tactical police force and been able to shoot someone dead for standing on your propperty is nuts in this day and age, fair enough someone breaks in to your house then you should be able defend your self , I just don't see that a peice of paper written many many years ago saying that people should have the right to bare arms means that anyone over a certain age can own more guns than john rambo without having gone through a decent back ground and mental stability check,  these kids are getting killed in schools by people who can buy a gun as easy as we can buy a pair of shoes ,

If someone ran in to a school with a hockey stick trying to kill kids any grown adult would have the bollocks to over power them , ... but when they come in with an arsenal like John rambo wich they just bought down the shop no one going stand a chance

Taking away the guns won't do a damn thing since they clearly have no respect for the law anyway.

"Oh, they banned guns. Welp, I guess I won't murder these people anymore. My weapon has been banned and I am a heavenly saint who follows all laws :DDD"

Typical dick head American response that , cause guns are the problem , well gun laws anyway , most Americans have more guns in there home than an English gun shop has , and why , because they need them for self defence .... bullshit , there called assault rifles not defence rifles , ans no taking guns away won't stop killings ,but if someone walked in to a school with a knife or a bat they ain't going to do the damage they can with a gun are they , you don't have to have more than half a brain to realise that ,  but when anyone over 18 can walk in to a supermarket ans buy a fully automatic gun with out any back ground checks then go shoot up a school then yea you got a problem , ...England has guns but not just anyone can have them so if your a fruit cake numpty with mental health problems they ain't going give you a gun are they ,

How many schools get shot up in America a year ???? Loads , how many in England or most other country's lol ..... well there you go then , all them yanks thinks they need 40 hand guns 20 rifles 3 50 cals and a rocket launcher where infact from most the Americans I've met I wouldn't trust them with a water pistol

Final flight of the season. It was an excellent mark from the dog, a cracking bolt from the ferret and an outstanding take from the hawk. So a good note to finish on! #35

Any one have much knowledge on possibly rickets in a pup

So I got 2 pups from the same litter fed them gain puppy and minced chicken tea time

Mornings were gain puppy with lambs milk powder 6 days in to this 1 pup had a noticeable bent left leg toes bent in over.

Bit ov google seems as I'm giving too much calcium so stopped the lambs milk pups leg straighten up after 3 days

So I bought some propper calcium powder 4 days in leg starts to bend out again stop powder in days her leg is good

My issue is her sister who's is fine and no issues has a mental 15mins flying about at full speed

The other one who had the issues only like runs 20 yards then walks besides me and never seems to run flat put or has a crazy 10 min so I feel like there is still a issue som we're

She is fine in her self I can't see any issues with her leg it looks good

Also when she walks she has one foot in front of the other like a nice trot but when she runs both front legs are together not like a trot I'm asking that as sure a saluki has a different gait when they run am I right

    20230214_181059.jpg

Had it befor twice actually ans both times cured in 2/3 weeks by putting it on low protein adult food , cheaper the better , some times irrelevant of what people mite say banging to much good food in a pup can make it grow quicker than its bones can develop,  like Say had it twice ans both times put on cheap adult food with low protein and it cam good in less than a month , my mate had same problem and his came good doing same thing ,

You seen a bird fly a Hare?  A battle yes I agree, but chasing the fastest animal in the cuntry for a 10/20 seconds chase at most isn't giving the quarry it's best chance.

The bird on bird thing is, I think the most sporting and fairly matched. A good Pheasant that can ditch in cover, or a heavy fast duck taken by a Falcon is pretty spectacular.

I'm not say that catching rabbits isn't great action, because it is. It just seems easy, "if" you know what you're doing and Moorman, you seen to have sussed it. Well done geezer.

Yes flown plenty hare with birds and the catch rate is a lot less  than with a dog , a bird has one chance ( most the time ) to bind to its quarry not multiple like a dog has putting bend after bend after bend in it , there plenty videos on YouTube of birds taking hare out of the seat making it look easy but that'd far from the truth they didn't put up the 5/6/7 misses they had that day just the one of the catch , a bird binding to its hare is no guarantee of a catch as they often get chucked off , a dog once it has its teeth in a hare is done for , I've had birds have there talons ripped out by buck rabbits and hares , as some one who has flown plenty of hares with a bird and ran them with a dog  I'd have to disagree that there less sporting than with a dog , unless me most the other falconers I know just  have shit birds

Its great sport for the hawk on the back of a hare when its riding it ? ?. You have to have a brave hawk an a clever hawk that just goes straight for the head but that will come in time. More kills for the bird better confidence build up. Years ago I had a female Harris that could smash hares up she was some bird 3lb 2oz

Never herd of a Harris flying at 3lb 2 , you sure it was harris hawk
