It's not just the noise its the aggression etc a lot of the harris's even passage birds are vocal and do imprint to some degree.

My first harris used to do this low whistle sound when ever on the fist lol like it was happy whistling lol but they live in packs in the wild and are very vocal like you say so it's part and parcel recon that's why some become vocal at flying weigh. My mate Carl's got and imprint harris hawk and an imprint male goldie so hopefully I'm going try beg one off him if he does them , wouldn't buy 1 off anyone else because like you say the breeders are all about the money so you could end up with some think a little imprinted and a male goldie harris with aggressive traits don't sound too much like fun lol

Knew a kid from  Hoyland, had a red tail ,had it a couple  of seasons, one day he was calling it back from  a mist slip ,glove up, piece of meat in hand, totally ignored the fist and latched on to the side of his face ,,  made a right  mess  ,was very  lucky not to lose his eye

Know acouple lads been hit by reds , problem is with reds is there not as forgiving as harris hawks so some lads go from a Harris to a red and end up getting footed , harris hawk are very forgiving around there weight , red tails arnt , not saying that's the case with your mate tho , sometimes even experienced falconers get tagged by them, old guy I know got more scars on his arms and face of birds than he has hairs lol

Only experience I have mate is been out hunting with birds and I have never owned a BOP I know of lad's who have taken brown hares with good sized female Harris hawk's most I know were taken in woodland and cover of some sort. I think the Eagle Harris hybrid would have the edge on open land and moorland . I know a few lads who gave the redtails a go for hare hawking but soon went back to the Harris hawk's.

Red tails can be funny feckers aswell mate , one day they can fly like demons the next day sit in a tree and watch the world go by lol

I would think they would have the edge on an harris hawk for hare's.

Yes , even decent sized Harris hawks won't handle hares well .. my mate had a female Harris 2lb 5 won't touch hare , his 2lb bird would but it died by been kicked by a hare , by time he got it to vets it was dead

What would they be good for?

The male will take hares ,

Now male Harris hawks will take strong buck rabbits but I've seen plenty kicked off I've seen females get kicked off especially when they grab the back end instead of the head , a male goldie x Harris won't have that problem and will take hares , now I know people will say just fly a male goldie but truth is goldies are sulking little fuckers , adding Harris will ad benefits like trainable,  flying style , steadiness,  none that sulking shit  etc etc plus if you have a female imprint Harris hawk that lays incubated and reaers you can have 4 possibly 8 chick's if you double clutch ..goldies don't realy lay that many eggs

But the main thing they add for the lads breeding them is £££££ couple grand for a Harris goldie hybrid .

Here’s a question for the lads who poach on here… has anyone actually drove a car through a fence or set fire to a barn or tractor… I personally haven’t and I don’t know anyone who has.. yet you hear these stories all the time… so come on, own up, who actually been man enough to set fire to a farmer’s property??

I have a couple mates who have drove through fences , I whent out with them to start a young dog on the lamp in a forester lad out sun roof lamping flying round fields strait through wire fence , ...it wasn't for me

    1 because the damage

2 because the amount of time they nearly ran the dog over

3 I got f***ing sea sick been thrown around in the back like I was on a fair ride

I also know a couple of rum old boys who if a farmer/ keeper goes over to them kicking of are more than happy to stick itnon them and have done plenty of times ...

There was a video somewhere on YouTube of some trailer lads after a funeral whent do some coursing as a send off to the friend , there clearly driving all over the land ripping the fields up etc et  and not q car sure there 2/3 ripping f**k out people fields and videoing it like it's fine

In “rough shooting” a couple of “guns” will just walk the land and have a pop at what jumps up, but , as you say, a “formal “ hare shoot will usually do “walk one, stand one”; which is if there are ,say, twenty “guns”, ten will stand in a line while the others drive the hares towards them, then they will change places for the next drive. Some of the big shoots will kill hundreds of hares.

The hares in these places seem to survive, and breed to replace the stock for the next years shoot, but I know of places, my brother has ferreting permission on one place, where the farmers go out at night on the back of trucks and shoot the hares in the lamp to completely eradicate them in order to stop the coursers and poachers going on the land.

I know that in the grouse shoots, the keepers shoot the hares as they carry a type of flea that infects the grouse.

The hare had a tough old life, but still they seem to be on the increase. I literally see more hares around here than rabbits.

    Cheers

When I held my fac a land owner approached me and asked me to basically wipe everything off his land because he was sick of constantly repairing fences from lads driving through them cutting them etc etc and he eas sick of been threatened and and worrying if his machines going get smashed up and burnt out I didn't have the heart do it but couple the lads I know went and did it for him and then another couple farmers had them doing the same for them ,

Shame realy but if I was a farmer repairing fences everyday chasing down loosed live stock etc I'd do the same thing

But if thats the case shouldnt we change our ways to accommodate all the dirty c**ts that decide to turn up on our shores and try and turn this country into theres.Of course not,But then surely it has to work the same both ways.We all moan about the way the british man is being forced to change his ways for the influx of foreigners who dont want to fit in or f**k off but think its acceptable that we bowled up in other countries commited genocide and the ones we did allow to survive we forced them to live on tiny bits of land compared to what they were used to and then have the cheek to call them animals because they dont want to live like us

I get what your say , but I never killed anyone or pillaged anyone's land so there's not alot I can do about it , I also wouldn't try and tell someone how to live in there own country I no its a bit like burying my head in the sand but I genuinely don't care what other people do in there countries and how they want to live , I don't realy care for 99% the people in britan either unless there family or live under my roof , I'd never go to someone else's country and tell them how live as its nothing to do with me but In the same light I wouldn't have foreigners telling me how to live in my own country , I keep my self to my self and wouldn't ever try to force my will upon someone else in there own country , hence why if I whent to any foreign country I'd respect there traditions ( within moral reasoning that it )

Im sure they were also quite happy living in their tents for 100s or even 1000s before they were killed off and the ones that remained were forced onto reservations.

Not douting that they were happy , but unfortunately with time life progresses and way of living progresses , (most the time ) and for what happend to them many years ago was bad , horrendous infact people talk of genocide ( mainly the nazis with the jews ) but in fact the abbos and the native americans were anialated and in  many more countrys but there's not much I or many people  can do about that and fortunately times change and so does quality of life I'm sure they'd be much happier if the white man wasn't there and didn't steal there land but as now we're ment to be civilised the govement tries to step in ( when it can be arsed ) and tries to improve there living standards , but I'm sure some of them would still much rather be living in teepee riding horse killing diffrent tribes kidnapping children violating women living off the land migrating with the buffalo  etc etc like they could in the good  old days lol 😆

Hunt the abbos they are more or less animals anyway

My mate from over there said he did some kind community work where they when and fitted some cupboards etc in the abbos houses / well he called them shacks lol he said they did one then when they went back the next week to do the other they'd ripped the cubards out and were using them as fire wood to cook on , said they were like animals lol I kinda got the impression it was bit like the red in America for the native Americans where every now and then the govemnet go over to try improve there living conditions but they just trash it , said they rather just live in a shack with nothing in it other than a roof over there heads ..

They aren't some mythical beast that's for sure and I've never heard a single Irish man claim that they are because they'd be laughed at if they did, is there plenty of men that like them and their crosses.. Definitely.. Myself included, if your into knocking over foxes with a lurcher then you could do a lot worse than having a wheaten cross, I've seen far more shite bull xs over the years than wheaten xs, only been around a handful of pures some were decent a couple were first class and some were culls and good for no purpose.

To be fair I say that because soon as a topic is mentioned about wheatons you get the Irish lads pop up saying the same old thing all the time " still decent lads working them" " still plenty game ones around in the right circles " plenty lads got them but don't let people know " that's all you ever hear about them like only the chosen few are aloud to keep them ... now I don't dout that adding them to a lurcher brings benefits,  I like Wheaton in a lurcher, brings good coat , feet , structure , gameness to name acouple , but so does a bull if right one is used , I have no problem with wheatons or there crosses to behonest I'd like to work a full Wheaton,  but I also would like to work a bull Wheaton,  now depending on what bull or what Wheaton you use they could fo the same thing so people say why fo the cross , simple gor me ,the coat , and appearance,  anyone knowadays can look at a bull and know what it is , ring the plod and you got a bull with working scars/ marks and your in hog water , a wheaton bull x if rough coated would look like a mongrel and probably wouldn't get a second look ,as for shit bull x I've seen more shit bull x than Wheaton crosses but that's simply because genuinely bred half or 3/4 wheatons arnt that common round here , not genuine ones anyway ,

Plenty of unhinged bulldogs, fcuk me look at the drama round xl bullies killing folks and bandogs in general, I'd gladly nut everyone of them big useless bags of shite and keep the 6 minute Wonders.

And plenty are fit for more than having their head in a hole for 6 minutes.

I'd happily nutt all them xl bullie things too but didn't alot the old Wheatons have a reputation for been manbiters aswell .?

  17. Yea the Irish secret squirrel club like to think of the full Wheaton as a mythical dog that could eat a lion , slay a dragon , ride a unicorn then come back home clean it's own kennle out and then sort it's own feed out after a day's work , that's why you have be vouched for ...or the other saying

Only Kept in small circles ,
