Crate her at nights and a few hours during day when we r out, not got a kennel set up yet. Lots of interaction with lots of types of people men women children, and she's been around my cat for a fortnight also. clicker training her with play, treats or fuss as a reward

Got my pup 2 weeks bk and she's scranning on meat trays and complete biscuits. Don't know enuff about raw yet.

The pup is 10 weeks mate and she was doing summat, playing what have ya and then this snarl, we've had her a fortnight and there has been no physical reprimanding. Now I don't know if she has caught something out the corner of her eye or what. She' doesn't go round snarling all the time but I'm guessing most 10 week old pups don't but 8t was just un nerving more than anything., didn't sit right

The new pup did a kind of snarl towards me and a very aggressive sound. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind the noise was but it wasn't anything like the usual puppy growl when playing.

Anyone encountered aggressive puppies? Can puppies be aggressive? In the proper sense not playing amongst themselves towards owners

I have had a number of dogs in my life to date not all working and have learnt off each but my border terrier that I had was brilliant, unfortunately lost him at 2. I'm very very green on the whole hunting scene but did a little ratting with the border and always wondered if that aided in how well he learnt. always open to new ways of learning and we all want the dog to be the best he or she can be. And I for one don't want to be the reason the dog is ruined

So the next question from me would be what size are your kennel runs? I have read prior to this msg as big as you can but when some one has a block what's the average size?

Neil cooney these were my thoughts exactly to wanted the opinions of more experienced folk. A lot of people i speak to seem to frown upon the idea of a kennel run no matter how big, but most kitchens where people leave their dogs most of the day aren't that big, as long as the dogs got protection from the elements I see no issues.

Kennel run pal. People I know only let dog have run of kitchen till someone can call to let him/her out for a toilet break and stretch their legs. so should be no different to this scenario but your not relying on anyone to cm and let your dog out.

Ryt then, the last time I owned a terrier he other half wasn't working so I had no issues, but she's bk working now and am looking at getting another dog. I ain't gonna leave a dog crated all day so obviously gonna have to sort a kennel, just wondered if most on here leave their dogs regularly in the kennels for 8 hrs plus. I'm assuming as long as the dog is getting plenty of exercise before you go to work and when your home there should be no issues with the set up.

How big does it need to be?? If you are using it to house your dog while your out at work, how much is your dog gonna move about during this time if you give him a good run out before you go?? Like socks said as big as you can but if it's not gonna get used then what's the point. best thing to do is make the perimeter of your garden , yard whateva dog proof and build a raised kennel that's well insulated jobs a gud en then.

I lost my two yr old border terrier a year or so ago and keep toying with the possibility of getting another dog. The other half would like a staff and I was wondering if anyone uses them for ratting.

came across something g called victor cider it's in a box just add the yeast and water for a no carbonated fruit cider ready to drink at 4.5% in 48 hrs. Anyone understand how they can speed up the whole process of brewing???

I do a little home brewing small scale and just wondered if anyone has ever substituted most of the water for lemonade as it would kill two birds with on stone the sugar and water I one bottle.
