  1. When I was young, even though I always loved my dogs they had to do their bit and old ones and inferior ones couldn't. My dogs now are like my family to me, be they old or young. I think I admire the loyalty now more than ability and because they are with me 24/7 the bond with them is the strongest ever. A guy offered to buy my grew off me the other week and I said, would you part with one of your kids? fck off. That's how I feel now.

I bet salties take there fair share of feral dogs? I heard there was a huge feral pig that lived on feral dogs?

I've heard of a lot of pig dogs being taken up North when the pig enters a creek to escape the dogs, the commotion attracts the crocs and even a Boerboel is just a snack to them. I think feral dogs make up a big part of their diet and heaps of pet dogs taken when people are fishing.

What a f**king idiot comment. They were probably quite happy living the way they had for 1000s of years before they had their land stolen from them.

They are a lot happier now drinking piss and eating Maccas, stealing and assaulting innocent people and just being total cnts. I understand your thinking, comparing them to your situation but when you have to deal with brainless primates every day your love soon fades. They are also quite happy receiving 30 billion in support each year for sitting on their asses whining. I guarantee you live around them your opinion will change in about 3 days. They also hate English people in general because they are white and still being blamed for what they call Invasion day, we've called it Australia day for generations to celebrate our nation that we built from nothing.

Thanks for clearing that up mate for some reason I thought Dingos were protected. And as for killing dogs,If its done as quickly and humanely as possible I dont think id have anymore problem than culling any other species that needed doing.Gotta admit im not so keen on the vids Ive seen where the poor f**kers are sat with their foot caucht in a trap for hours.

Yeah, fck those traps, even though they are so called soft catch. I've only ever shot one dog and it still haunts me.

Can you get any pictures of these huge feral dogs mate

It was up near Taree, they weren't feral but camp dogs. I'll talk to a relo that lives up there, they might be able to get some pics. The abbos up there aren't real friendly, lol.

I watched a few vids on youtube of fellas shooting and trapping feral dogs.A lot of them looked just like dingos and I was wondering how they could tell the difference when shooting them with high powered rifles.Im guessing its illegal to shoot pure dingos?and pure dingos must be getting rarer all the time with the blood getting diluted with feral domestic dog blood

Dingoes are fair game anywhere over here as far as I know except National parks, where you can't hunt anything. The farmers don't care if it's a pack of dingoes or a chihuahua, they are dead if seen on their farms. I did think the pure dingo was rare and still think that but a recent study found the majority of feral dogs were almost pure dingo which surprised me. The guy who agisted his horses on my place was a semi pro dog trapper and shooter and couldn't keep up on all the jobs, I personally don't like killing canines myself but it needs doing over here.

A giant feral dog killed two mastiff and injured a Rottie did you witness this yourself?

    not calling you a liar

It does sound like BS and it was a story going around the hunting blokes, I didn't see it. The dogs I saw while up the coast were living with the indigenous people were at least as big as danes but were  mongrels and just roamed around loose. I've never seen bigger dogs and thought about the story when I saw them.

I heard the same tale; also heard the one about the feral Afghan, but it was just one dog, not a pack.

Dont know how true the stories are, but I know that Aussie dog lads are , just like us Brit dog lads, prone to a bit of embellishing ! LOL !

    Cheers.

The dogs I was talking about were on the news, probably 45 years ago and they showed the dogs and pups caught. They were totally matted and scarred but not starving. They had bred in the bush and raised pups.👍

Very interesting mate …. Any chance you could give us some info on wild dogs that have went feral find it fascinating

Yeah I do too. I once pulled up on a highway South of Sydney after seeing a very thin greyhound eating a roadkill. I walked back toward the dog and another huge staghound appeared and they looked at me like lunch, they were very thin and had more scars than skin so I took off. I've seen grey, very feral wolf like dogs in The Blue Mountains trying to kill a stray bull terrier. They weren't dingo based like most feral dogs here. My mate saw them at a later time also. It's very steep, dense bush there. Went pig hunting with a mate in pine forest and his dogs ran into a pack of feral dingo types and killed most , if not all of the pack including pups, I still remember the horrible screaming. There is a story about a single, giant feral dog on the North coast NSW that was killing cattle and a guy went after it with three pig dogs, mastiff types and a Rotty, they bailed the dog in a log pile and by the time the guy got there it had killed the pig dogs and the Rotty was alive but hurt, the dog escaped. The indigenous up there do have some giant mongrel camp dogs that I noticed last year when up there so I do believe that story.

Or their cousins, the Afghan Hound.......

    Cheers.

My old boss had an Afghan Hound he found dumped in a storm water drain. It was almost dead and when he got it back to health it was an extremely good guard dog and very loyal. Much better and more likely to attack intruders than his two Red Cattle dogs, who were shit scared of it. I also remember a large pack of them that had bred up wild on the outskirts of Sydney years ago. I think they found over 30 that were killing livestock to survive after they were dumped when the Afghan fad had passed.

You cant call an XLbully a bulldog.Theyre just scatterbred mutts along with 90% of the shit thats being touted as bandogs these days.

Is the animal they class as a bandog only a pit/neo or are other pit crosses classed as bandogs as well? I had pit/Am bulldogs but didn't think of them as bandogs, the pig hunters over here call the cross, scrub dogs. I wouldn't call an XL bully a bulldog either, they are more a fashion accessory for wanna be gangsters and have given other established bull breeds a bad rep imo.

The met police over here dont use mali's either because theyre too much for what the average police dog is expected to do.I dont think a lot of people realise what a bulldog can be trained to do in the right hands.Theres a guy in the state(Tom Brody)Who was successfully putting Schutzhund 3 titles on pitbulls and other bull breeds untill the Shepherd/mali owners spat their dummies out because he was beating them at their own game so tried getting him shut out by making schutzhund for European breeds only.

Yeah I'd never doubt the ability and intelligence of a working bulldog. Sounds like it comes down to politics and jealousy between the handlers. I doubt most coppers over here could handle them though.

what the bull adding ? just making them harder to get off lol

If you dont know then theres no point trying to explain something that you have no interest in listening to.

I think mC has a point, I think law enforcement doesn't use bull breeds for that very reason.

when you got kennels full of dogs you dont have a life

Me and my mrs have never had a decent holiday together and while we regret it we have had a great life with the dogs. We only have two terriers now and a grew so we are planning a strictly human holiday together. We probably won't know what to do without them though, lol.

Didn’t they with the first cross and second cross bull greyhounds there was a time pit bull blood wasn’t thought of in lurcher breeding

Bully greys as we call them over here are still almost always English bull/greyhound. They aren't as game as the pit crosses but are steadier on dangerous game and get fewer injuries but still game and hard enough. They don't prefer them for no reason. Sometimes you can get too much of a good thing.

The standard had a litter and decided it would rather eat them than feed them.Ive heard of a few others that did the same

I've heard quite a few doing the same back in the 80's when everyone had an English Bull over here. I'll guarantee it's their insane jealousy.
