Had similar thing happen here a few years back a policeman came across a deer that had been badly smashed up and on deaths door he was miles from anywhere late at night. He killed it outright with a boulder like most sensible people would do and the poor sod was out on the rack.

Some nice dogs lads and it amazes me how true the line has bred on (at least in your dogs). The dog Bulpa looks like a bigger version of old Rip but slightly more colliefied and the dog Jack has a similar look to Nipper, even a similar unbalanced stance that Nipper had. Was Bulpa ever put to a pure bred greyhound? The Red dog from Scotland looks the part. I would get shot of that narrow chested thing but don't get it PTS I know someone who will give it a good pet home

How True Fuji. I can remember Victor and Hento Logan were always mooching about together. Not sure where Tracy got his/her information from but as you say good craic and makes the Minshaw breed out to be almost as mystical and colourful as Victor himself would have you believe. Looking at the pics of Frankel's gorgeous bitch reminded me of what a lurcher should look like.

I am not sure if this is another post that may be over my head But in answer to your question I do not know who BORDERLAND is or who anyone else is on this forum. To the best of my knowledge Victor bred Nipper, at least I know he owned the sire Old Rip.

I was taking the piss mate, I know they aren't just collie x's. . . . . .the question 'what is a minshaw' always makes me smile. Its a lurcher, bred by a group of folk, to do a certain job. Whats in them isn't really that important is it. Exactly right.

Very nice bitch Frankel and in great order to.

As the topic starter I feel slightly responsible for the way it is going. Whilst there is no comparison as to what these two pieces of shite did to the poor creature in the video clip and any form of hunting, I can see where WILF is coming from and fair play to the guy for standing his ground when total outnumbered. Personally I never could stand any form of cruelty or unfairness and it was one of the reason I left the game. I started to look at the vixen on the receiving end of the 80lb lurcher and couldn't sleep at night. I have also been on the rack. When I was younger I was inv

Not sure what was over my head? Collie and Cur are quite different animals. I have seen both, but only bred from Collie x, Only because I couldn't find a Cur. Have bred collie x both ways, Sire Collie and dam Collie, no difference whatsoever. But this is with very limited experience of only 2 litters either way.

Is Tom Mason n Tiger Mason the same man ? Got to be same family I'd think at least atb. RedQuil. From the same family as Tiger but Tom was much older. Tom seemed to be a different kettle of fish to Tiger but who can tell !! Both keen dog men. I think they sometimes called themselves Watsons, depending on where they were at!

Must admit I was unsure whether or not to start this topic. I was just so sickened. Sorry if it has upset anyone but I did put a warning on the page. The fact that it all seems so amusing to them astounds me. These guys need to be monitored for the rest of their lives they are sub human. Once again sorry if I have upset anyone.

Border Lad. Yes I can just remember Tom Mason. We had heard great things about his Tucker dog and were invited to go and watch it run. A big hairy animal if it was the same dog and Tom was a wiry sort of bloke. Tucker was another dog who could be stopped in his tracks off the lead when hares were running around all over the place. We only went out with Tucker and Tom twice. The first morning Tom was very edgy (nice enough fella though) and would hardly step inside of a field he just jumped Tucker over the gate, hares were getting up maybe 50 yards away and Tucker would be looking a

I had a Toy Manchester Terrier who weighed 5lb she would catch and kill rabbits. Mind it took her a while so I was pleased when I found out where all of the commotion was coming from to help her along the way.

The fact that the poor animal is just taking it all without any sign of aggression just makes it worse. I honestly feel sick, won't get much sleep tonight I'm afraid.

I have just seen this video tonight and am quite frankly sickened and lost for words. I honestly don't know what the world is coming too. To think that scum like tis walks our streets beggars belief. WARNING THIS IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED AND IS VERY UPSETTING. After reading some of the response to this topic I feel I need to edit and repeat my warning. Sorry if this has upset anyone. Border Lad was this the same Tom Mason who often stayed in the Carlisle Area and coursed his dogs at Longtown Cumbria?
-
From what I have been told they are a nightmare in every way. Their temperament is frantic and their legs snap like carrots. Also almost impossible to insure.

I did manage to find a single photograph all be it not a great one. Can't really remember the night but the blue bitch in the picture belonged to my old mate from Workington. The Handsome guy in the middle is Me I had an album full of photos (-100) just like this sadly lost. A few with Minshaw on but mostly my mate from Workington and the Cleator Moor Lads, What a loss.

You are correct Fuji I could remember he had a grand name just forgot how grand. Victor was quite a showman and great promoter of both himself and his dogs. Quite a character, he had a motorbike with a side car for his dogs. Everything Victor had was the best in the world I had a lamp exactly the same as his, a Wipac car spotlight as big as a dinner plate run off an acid filled motorbike battery, but of course Victor always claimed his was the best , just a little bit brighter. He always fancied himself as a cross-country runner, god knows he had enough practice, he bought a pair of lightw

I very much doubt it low plains. Reality is small council estate Brigham, Cumbria (no offence intended).

I know later on Victor would breed quite close, but thought son mother was even to close for vic. I can remember going to see the Nipper x Darkie pups when they were little. Victor had half his garden for them, he had dug up the soil and mixed in powdered lime to kill any worm eggs. I can remember the smell of his burco boiler going, full of green tripe, rabbits and veg. One thing for sure Vic was a great feeder. Feed them hard and work them hard. Before I met Vic I was feeding tinned Chappie and Winalot mixer... Lesson learned.

If it is a young pup leave it be, he will adapt his balance easily. I have had greyhounds the same, your pup has a broken tail.

I had a photo album full, over 100 photos which was sadly lost. Best night 103 rabbits and 16 hares, 5 of the rabbits were road kill so we call it 98, with 3 dogs. 1 night Penrith Cumbria. Victor was not there. I had photos of all the Cleator Moor lads and their dogs so sick as a parrot my album was lost. We would always have a photo followed by skinning day. All of the heads and skins would be deposited at Dovenby no matter where our haul was caught. This was to wind up someone who had done a bad thing to old Rip.
