been out this afternoon with the harris he was not 100% today dont know why or what was wrong with him but i have flown @ 1.6 before and he was brilliant but today it was just not happening with him he had 3 good chances at crows which i know normally he would have nailed them then he had a flight at a corn dodger and missed it at first but then had a go again and got it . then he had a flight at a maggie missed then flew straight to a top of a telegraph pole and sat there and just ignored me for about 10 min and then decided to put a flight in on a chicken in some ones garden and lande

nice looking dog there mate it dont look like you have got a collar on him in the picture going to ground i wouldnt let him go to ground without one on mate you never know whos at home and it would be a shame to loose a good looking dog .

seen a load more pinks today there must have been around 5000 arive today also i was talking to a friend on the phone who was under the moon last night after wigeon and he herd loads moving .any one else seeing anything ?

was out in the garden tonight flying my harris and i herd some pinks looked around and i picked them up well over to the south of us there was about 300 so looks like there on the move .wont be long before the big numbers get here

hi riggers i use heavy shot for geese mate kills better than steel and other none toxic cartridges i know they cost the earth but its worth it. also most of my goose shooting is done on the foreshore and mainly at pinks so they are worth it good look regards wag

well done tony she is a cracker mate, she sat on the fist lovely last night when we were there wasnt bothered about us .she was nice and steady great stuff mate she is a credit to you .even the misses liked her .thanks for the tea and the chat mate see you soon. regards wag

there is a few people coming of the site mate not going to name names . me you pete that bloke who i bought my harris off there will be quitea few mate should be a good day for those who are coming espically on the friday night if you know what i mean

been out with my harris today thought i would try him on duck. so we went to one of my ponds that i shoot . when we got there we could here mallard calling out so i put the harris up in a tree.walked round the other side to flush them for him and so i could get a good view of whats happing. flushed the duck and he naild a drake just has it lifted of the water but it was to heavy and he hit the water still clutched to the mallard so you know whats coming next yes i had to wade in to fetch him my mate was laughing his head off at me especally when i slipped and went in up to my chest the water

mind he dont foot you on that stuff oz if hes got any on his feet and he foots you and it gets into your blood stream you will be chasing gail round the bedroom and you will be doing your gorilla impression and hanging off the lamp shade again and we all know what happened last time you took that stuff mate dont we

hi jrb, its up to you mate when you fly your bird free. you should know how your bird is responding if your putting your glove up and he is coming straight away he is not far off ready, but its up to you if you feel confident in letting it go free ,then do it, but if there is something thats telling you not to fly it free then dont. take your time and you will be ok, dont be rushed by anybody telling you when to fly him free its up to you and you only. when the time is right you will know. keep us up to date with his progress mate and good look.
