  1. this years v festival. the killers, £4.50 a shot of jd and coke £ 3.10 small beer, out side the arena it was £2.50 can of cider £40.00 a case, the killers were out standing,
  2. wash out with water, next day if eyes are still gummed up wash out and use a cotton bud, turn the bud a long the eye lids ( be care full ) and the dirt or sand will come off onto the bud, rince off, keep checking cos if dirt is left in it will be very sore for your dog.
  3. ive known borders to go at 12mts, i find that each and every one is different, some take longer to go, but if i was you i wouldnt try them at 8mts far to young, if they meet summut it could put them off for good, you say you have just got them, get to no them and them to no you, take um out bushing and all that, maybe let them watch a dig or 2 in afew months time, and dont for get to put a collar on, as has been said there just pups , if you dont mind me asking why did you choose borders,
  4. calm down deker, i took it you, and you, alone had 21 bits of permission, you never said any think about others working for you, as for helping you or the line dancers out ill give that amiss and help my self.
  5. deker do you do justice on your 21 bits of permission, i doubt it VERY MUCH, i know people that work 5 days a week with hundreds and hundreds of acres and they dont put a dent in it, lamping a few rabbits or fox is not poaching to me its helping you out,
  6. i think its well worth £50.00 to have kate hoey and the ca on the side of hunting if it wasnt for them and other clubs hunting would have gone years back,ok were on the back foot now but who do you think was fighting our corner 25 30 yrs back. remember panorama program, on hunting if you do, just picture it with NO f****r THERE TO REPRESENT US.
  7. nice , have made them from pike, with mash and pea,s cover them in bread crums, and fry them off,
  8. mr1 , i dont under stand your post, if you think im all for showing well im not, what i am for is the working terrier, you say we all have to make a living, i agree, but not by breeding terriers for the show ring, money and rosetts mean nothing, being able to take your terrier out and work him means every thing.
  9. james you may well be right, its been over ten years since i gave up pest control, but i can assure you that it was common place to use poison in loft spaces, had afew calls to go out and try to find the dead squirels in the attic, {smell &flys}found grain and even on one occasion wax blocks.wether it was legal back then i dont no, but as i said dont use poison
  10. stunning pic of that greyhound in good nick, well done,
  11. i dont think the show winners would test or even try there dogs, to much money to be made for them at stud, lets say if you had the flavour of the month and were charging £ ago to any bitch, some that have never seen work, or have been tryed and he studs 3 bitches aweek i think the money comes first, and to me thats how you loose working ability, on the other hand if the guy works his stud dog and he and his dog are genuine and he studs genuine working bitches then thats fine, worker to worker not show to show.
  12. pea nut butter on the plate of the fenn, cover the trap with tunnel put a few nuts down around the tunnel and you will have him. dont use poison cos if you cant retreive the body it will stink the place out, and if theres more than one it will be humming and then you may have flys all over the place.
  13. strong looking dog, looks to have a good coat on him, any one in the midlands run this sort of dog, whitser, will he hunt up and go in the rough,
  14. dogga fare play if you take the dog on, but what do you mean she shows a lot of promise? steer clear mate it could be a time bomb, in kennels from 4mts old t ill nearly 2yrs old its not the dogs fault but please think long and carefully befor you take it on,
  15. ive got a tip for you ,SELL THEM OR SHOOT THEM , cos if you dont no how they are your a cock head,
  16. the preferred terrier of any diggin lad is one that will find and stay till dug to, end of
  17. if any one wants them registered and or kc pedigree then thats the price, dont ask me how much as of yet i havent inquired at the kc to find out. midlands.
  18. if any one is interested in taking on a border dog pup for hedgin and flushing please get intouch, sire was very good on top and was dug to a few times, dam is one of those that sticks to your side most of the time has been dug to bolted a few, i dont want them to go to pet homes at all, there will be 5 dog pups hopefully going to homes that will take them out, so if anyone likes raking about with a lurcher or bobbery pack please get intouch, cheers
  19. well said nelson, bollocks to the money keep the working borders working,
  20. i dont think every one is so down on working borders, a good working border is as good as any other type to fox, what i think pissis some, not all people is the bullshit. when i first got the book the world of the working terrier and read the chapter on the border terrier i was gutted, but the author [to me] is right, worker to worker every time, theres quite afew on here that agree with putting worker to worker so are they all wrong? and if anyone thinks they are please tell them, borders are being churned out by so called top kennels for fame and glory and not for working ability, is it any
  21. you could try any of the breeds that have an affix, they work them week in and week out. or as said try for a pup from someone that is trying to keep what work is left in them going.
