Yes paddy....I always do it, I just leave them, no hobs near them...they never come to any harm, I've never had one die yet...I just make sure the cage is very clean...whilst they are in season, and clean them if they need it to prevent any infection... I just mate them every two or three year instead..

Down to your own personal choice, I'd just leave them if it was me....size of your setup should be able to hold em all though ... Never lined my jills for the last 2-3 year, and they don't come to no harm...always kept the cages very clean during when there in heat, and cleaned them as needed...decided to line them this year though, get a couple of young uns in...
