Has anybody else seen groups of herons standing in fields in large numbers .Must be a seasonal thing as Ive seen it before ,this time of year.They were hunched up ,all facing the middle of the group .23 in all.

WELL LADS ,

 

MIK IS RIGHT ...........

RAVENS FIRST , HERONS WONT BE LONG , THOUGH I HAVE NOTICED THEM STANDING ON LAST YEARS NESTS SO THE PAIRING UP IS DONE , EGGS WILL PROBABLY BE LATE MARCH / EARLY APRIL

ive just seen the same only last week counted 26 in the middle of a field all just stood like ornaments
