now, i know little about football so i might have this all wrong, BUT..

 

to me, a manager can do so much, but once you are on the pitch it is down to the players to perform.

 

if the team keeps losing then the players must take a lot of responsibility for that, not just the manager. I mean, how many teams have honestly totally transformed purely because of a change of manager, and not through buying new players?

 

so instead of taking responsibilty for their own failings, we have a group of senior players whingeing to the board "its not our fault we are crap, the big boy made us do it". And the board patting them on the back and saying "there there, we will give you all a hug and make the nasty man go away"

 

bunch of pathetic whiners by the sound of it, and they sum up the reasons why i find i hold so much of the modern game of football in such contempt
