I like the look of the English pointer but heard they don't retrieve and that they tend to work miles from the handler anyone got any info on the breed?

yea heard that to this fella is retrieving of the water he just hitting 9mnth now bit more maturer and a lot bigger than above pic rangeing well he is first cross GSP/EP happy enough with him at moment solid enough on the whistle marking retrieves any one else used this cross before

We see them around over here. Mostly Elhew lines I believe. Their big running dogs like you heard. Most hunters here prefer a closer working dog for upland hunting. GSPs being the most common followed by English Setters.

 

Slip Hound, that's a nice looking pup you've got there. Definitely a Pointers tail on 'em. If he turns out as he promises, and you put him over a good Greyhound let me know.
