celticrusader 78
Yeh very true mate and it does perform like or similar to a centrefire so it is a valuable bit of kit and being that you are in the area of progressing its good to have that under your belt...that's the way they'll look at it I believe mate. shropshire dan 467
Cheers CC. Cant wait to get the CF though. Charlies gonna have a shock sitting out of range of the hmr at 150yards. Think again hahaha Quote Link to post

walshie 2,804
Blimey. Do you think we should rename this thread "Pros and cons of 17 hmr Part 14." Quote Link to post
celticrusader 78
Lol..they all have a place walshie maybe not with some 1 Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Haha should have Walshie. I'm going Saturday to a permission. I rang owner today to let him know im coming and he said he's seen at least 1 fox every night at 8pm like clockwork. So gonna setup where he's been spotted and hopefully bag him. Probably be last kill with Hmr 2 Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
You'll probably go all tooled up and he won't show Dan, they're sneaky like that I think I'll create a .17 HMR thread and just merge every HMR topic into one Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Haha nice one SS. If he dosnt show I'm planning on staying out a while lamping rabbits. Leaving the preferred lamping .22lr at home and just taking the hmr Quote Link to post
Deker 3,453
Lucky you mate...seems strange I wonder what rules they work to in order for no charge to be brought into consideration. :hmm: It's called a 1 for 1, all regions use the same rules. It is free if you simply give up one slot and replace it with another, there is only a charge if you want to increase the number of slots! Quote Link to post
celticrusader 78
I had a thought that was the case since my last post but being unaware of this i now know, thanks for clearing it up. Edited July 11, 2014 by celticrusader Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
So I must sell the hmr before asking for another calibre? Quote Link to post

walshie 2,804
If you don't, you'll need another slot for the .223 which will cost £26. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,453
So I must sell the hmr before asking for another calibre? In principle Yes! If you make it clear it is your intention to sell your region may be able to help with a temporary Certificate, but they are not usually mad keen on the idea, so if you are heading the route of a paid variation, stick as much on there as you can think of, 1 extra slot or 10, the cost is £26! shropshire dan 467
Ok great advice. Ill probably pay for variation then as I want a 2nd .22lr thanks again all Quote Link to post
