Yes but the buzzards are a pest now i watched 4 pairs of lapwings lay eggs last year and the chicks hatched within a week there were 9 buzzards all walking around the field looking for the chicks not one survived they need controlling

They may need controlling bud,but it is illegal to do so,and anyone shooting any bird of prey is looking at prison time, and losing their FAC or SGC as well.

Mark@mmb it's not buzzards bringing down numbers of lapwings, it's irresponsible firearm owners not knowing enough feildcraft to know the difference between a lapwing and a mag pie! I no problem with gun owners, just those who are trigger happy to anything that moves regardless of wat it is!

Maybe there were causing a nuisance. Not peoples fault that they cant control these birds and have to take the law into there own hands. They should be more careful in the future...

thats 1 thing i dont have to think about.i fly birds of prey,i have lurchers, terriers, ferrets my fac and sgc and i even going beating in the winter to,as for the lads getting caught hare coursing its there own stupit fault but shooting raptors is and has always been illegal but most of the trigger happy idiots want to learn what to shoot and what is illegal to shoot but its like everything else with most keepers it doesnt happen on there estate.what a load of bull and when i have been out with the dogs and guns ive had them asking me to get rid of them to which will never happen,as i like my wildlife just as much as the next person but in the keepers eyes its ££££££££££££ that they are loosing.so why shoud i think of my thread.
