Daihatsu sportrak modified.. 1996- 117.950 miles

Due to unforseen cirumstances we are having to sell our sons car...

This was bought from a mechanic and these are his modifications..

First off He removed the standard bumpers and made myself some temporary heavy duty ones.He sourced some early model rear lights that sit higher up on the body which stops them getting damaged when offroading.

He decided fairly early on that he couldnt get along with the facelift front end so he have swapped the complete front end and lights for the early model ones which look much more purposeful!!

my son fitted some new very bright spot lights to the front bumper which are operated from a switch on the dash, and also theres a seperate switch to knock out all the back lights, useful for when out lamping, elimnates break lights etc.

When He got the car he was suprised to find that it had been undersealed from an early age and was actually in great condition underneath!(if you know these vehicles, you will know how suceptable they are to corroding underneith as they left the factory without any proper underbody protection!)he decided to remove all of the existing underseal to ensure all of the body/chassis was fine underneath it.he then completely recoated it (and all the suspension axles etc..)with expensive hardwearing underseal.(a job that took over a week to complete)

he then bought a new set of shackles to raise the suspension 2 inches..the front suspension has obviously been raised to match and the anti-roll bar has been removed which suprisingly has made no difference to the on road handling at all but will help slightly when doing serious offroading.

Next up were the wheels.he sourced some fourtrack 7x15 steel wheels and had the full set refurbished in white to contrast with the deep metalic bodywork.these wheels have a slightly different offset which sits them further out and almost flush with the side of the arches to aid in offroading.

They were fitted with 4 new greenway machos (255/70) which have covered only around 2000 miles since and so have approx 12-mm tread left. The spare is a general xp2000(completely legal).

He decided not to go any bigger with the tyres as it was always destined to spend 90% of its time on the road! The wheels have managed to pick up some stonechips so could do with touching up.

tinted windows throughout but starting to peel in areas. The rear window and side rear windows are dark smoke and the front side windows are very light smoke. They are all completely legal.

It is fitted with (fully working!) central locking and electric windows!

This car has since been used for hunting and lamping by my son, and isn't in the best of conditions, He's not taken care of it, the whole car- interior and exterior could do with a good clean, it needs a new rear light cover where theres a dint in the bumper, and indicator stalk as this is no longer working.

I've had nothing to do with this car and our son has gone away for a while..

Good runner but It does need some attention.

Its now out of both M.O.T and TAX. hence the reason We are open to offers... this needs to go.

Grab a bargain. Based in west yorkshire.
