  2. Does anyone ever get shot with all those guns blasting.
  3. I downsize my pic's once its uploaded on photobucket, with the edit button. Maybe your photo's are still to big, and need to get downsized first on your pc. Sin and my mates bitch had him bailed briefly until backup arrived. Let us know how you find the chest plate in the blackberry.
  4. Doesn't matter if they are any good or not Richard, so long as they are always in a good pose for the camera.
  5. Been trying to email you, have you got a new address? are you avoiding me mate . I'll send you an email via this site, let me know here if it don't get through.
  6. No one is saying it isn't a big pig, but its a f*****g domestic pig, thats as queer a hunt as you can get for christ sake.
  7. I'm not that keen on straight bailers myself, but from what i've seen over the years, the better ones give a pig some space once it is stopped, so that it is content to sit back and watch, rather than getting pressured into running again.
  8. I'm sure your saying that after years of pighunting experience with your own dogs. Kath, I've never had a young dog killed or hurt badly by a boar, hopefully the roll will continue.
  9. Thats not likely to happen, as wild pigs don't grow to that size. Unless you do as these guys did and go hunting in a pig pen for a domestic boar.
  10. I think the dogs were having a bit of fun with their owners I thought it was a bit of a rude trick to pull on the dutchman when I first saw it, as it could have ripped him in a worse area, but I did just about piss myself laughing lol , I think they made him carry it out afterwards lol.
  11. if you value your dog at all dont try it.... Are you saying that pighunters don't value their dogs...or what?.
  12. The young dog did ok, it looked new at it, but stayed caught once it decided to latch on. Just needs to learn not to hang in front thats all.
  13. I don't know of anyone who uses them here.
  14. We don't have to worry about roo's and emu's here in NZ lol Getting them stock proof is normally just a matter of getting them used to them, and having zero tolerance for any foulplay. Feral goats are a bit harder, but a "stern" talking to gets through to them eventually. Some dogs learn fast, some a bit slower, and some don't stay in the team very long.

    Boar

I've only been injured once, and that was about 15 years ago. A boar done a job on the side of my kneecap, but it was my fault for not paying attention. I was pulling a young dog off the boars back leg, with the intention of teaching it how to clean hold, but the boar spun around and opened my leg up to the bone. Nothing a few stitches didn't fix up, but could have been worse if it had connected with an artery. Bumps and bruises are common, but not worth a mention.
  16. Good trip mate, can't complain about that effort.
  17. I usually have 5 dogs with me when hunting. All x bred dogs. Two dogs is plenty in most cases, but I bring more to give them all a fair go in the hills. They don't get any better locked up in a kennel.
  18. It doesn't take many generations for a pig to return to the feral state. The feral pig doesn't turn into a russian boar though, no matter how long its been living down the back paddock.
  19. Pure?. Looks like your everyday common garden variety feral pig. Should be a good eater.
