stick a bark proof muzzle on it for a few days obviously take it of when she is out the run then after a few days take it of whenever she starts back on for a day and keep doing this till she eventualy stops works for me and beats the throw a bucket of water over it or paint its ribs whitch i was disapointed to hear

If you only just got the dog then FFS don't start treating it harshly: any dog,no matter how good its temperament is going to take some time to settle in: harsh treatment coupled with the strangeness of new owners and habitat is going to take some getting used to.

 

Spend as much time as possible with the dog: go and sit in the kennel with it, read a book or listen to music while your'e in there, fuss the dog, feed it in the kennel and stay with it while you feed it, take it in and out the kennel over and again.

 

What your'e trying to do is make the dog realise that the kennel is a nice place to be. Fix up a radio above chewing height in the kennel so you can leave it on softly at night and when your'e not there: that way the dog won't feel its been abandoned.

 

If it is now alone and was with other dogs before that will make it howl even more: dogs hate to be separated from their pack. Expect the settling in to take time: weeks maybe, but the better you treat the dog (without spoiling it!) the calmer and happier it will eventually be.

 

If none of this works then try one of those DAP pheromone diffusers which are said to mimic the calming hormones of a bitch with pups.

 

Failing that get the dog indoors at night in a crate!
