For sale my beautiful .22 Hornet Carbine in near mint condition. I just have too many .22's !!!

Photos here (slideshow view best - click top left in link): http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/21911062

The ONLY mark on this rifle is a tiny manufacturing mark on the top left of the stock (see pics). Barely noticeable to the naked eye I have highlighted it in close-up in the photos. Absolutely MINT otherwise!

Lovely grain in the stock too!

This is a later Hornet with safety and 1/2" UNF barrel end (with ring cover) to take the supplied BSA silencer. Fill probe supplied too.

Remember this is a FULLY REGULATED rifle with the famous John Bowkett regulator for consistent shot to shot power. And you'll get over 100 of those full power shots from a 232BAR charge.

It's a short rifle too, so ideal for hunting with, and with its MMC cocking system you can de-cock it for safety when you decide not to take a shot.

No longer made due to its replacement by the UNregulated Scorpion this is fast becoming a collectors item and you won't find many in this condition so please don't hang around thinking about it!

For sale at £300 face to face (Lutterworth, Leics), or will post at cost - around £10 via RM Std Parcels insured.

would you swap for a 22 fn19 im only asking the guy so no gritty remarks lol

Thanks for the offer, but I'm only looking for cash really unless something very special came up for swaps.

Not many people realise that the Hornet has a regulator within its action to ensure little air is wasted and to keep the shot to shot power variance far smaller than with a non regulated rifle, meaning your shots are more consistently on target.

Plus, you get a higher shot count from one fill.

The newer Scorpion is generally well regarded and the Hornet is its predecessor which has the added benefit of the MMC cocking system which you can de-cock unlike the Scorpion. BSA changed to the Scorpion as the regulated action is more expensive to produce.

As a single shot hunting rifle and/or very competitive target rifle you can't go wrong!

I even put a Hornet .22 barrel on my Steyr LG100!! Pics here: http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/21911147

Need I say more!

only 300 from drapers nottingham with scopes look in air gunner mag

If its had J.Bowkett mess with it then it will be well worth the money . I think the Reg , fitted by JB would have cost , £100-£150 ? So like stated the shot count would be greatly increased , and i think flattening the power curve . This would make all shots the same , rather than working through to find the `Sweet Spot ` If you think you could buy a rifle of these capabilaties with a scope , brand new for £300 , I`ll have 2 . This is a great buy , i cant understand why its still here , i would even go as far as sayin i would swap it for my S400 , no question .

I think you'll find they've left this in from long ago as on their website an Ultra is £300 for a bare rifle, and a scorpion £340 for a bare rifle. Both of these are unregulated.

Plus, how much will it cost you in petrol or having it sent to a RFD?

Mine's £280 posted.
