skycat 6,174
the problem is that virtually all the anti propoganda is focused on fox hunting, so the general public only see fox hunting as the issue: the question is do we, the other sort of hunters, lay low, say nothing and carry on as before, or do we try and draw attention to the fact that it was not only fox hunting that was banned? lapin2008 1,587
the problem is that virtually all the anti propoganda is focused on fox hunting, so the general public only see fox hunting as the issue: the question is do we, the other sort of hunters, lay low, say nothing and carry on as before, or do we try and draw attention to the fact that it was not only fox hunting that was banned? Problem is that the public perseption of hunting with dogs is that of the horse mounted fox hunts and its that the media has focused on most. with them having focused on this specific aspect of hunting they have managed to scrape together a few more 'anti' votes by suggesting that its only posh people that hunt in this way. (basically they made it a class issue as well as a working with dogs issue which helped push the legislation through) All we can do is hope that it is repealed in some way, maybe the tories if thye get in. but unfortunataly i doubt it. I certainly will never vote labour again on the back of the hunting ban, which pains me as i think dave cameron is right moon faced tw@t. We have to generally be carefull though as i wouldn't be suprised if small bits of legislation starts cominig in over the following years to make our way of lives/sports more difficult Edited April 21, 2009 by lapin2008
