Szalanda 0
Adam what i have done with my pups is give them a live rabbit in and enclosed space from 8 weeks old and get them to play with it, make it a game and drag it around, pup wont take to it straight away but remember they are only a baby. usualy a rabbit every 2 weeks or so keeps them interested until they are ready to chase by themselves. give them lots of positive encouragment so they do not feel scared. Sully 3
Adam, Ive found that this site has plenty of know it all's I'll tell them all now, I have a nine Week old puppy and Ive got her chasing and retrieving a furry toy, Ive also started her training to a dog whistle, what the feck is wrong with you people, you jealous or something, cos he's a young lad and got all this to learn and your up your own arse's thinking you know it all ! makes my blood boil, I dont proclaim to know everything but I know what Im doing with my lil one is perfectly safe and most importantly SHE LOVES IT!!! Adam, dont jeopordise her at all, you have plenty of time to train her, play with her till your tired, keep her stimulated, use different things for her to chase and play with and most im[portantly like I was told by Hannah cuddle her make her feel loved and she'll be devoted to you and in turn will want to please you, good luck matey and when you have questions post your thread but dont listen to the nobs, ATB Craig
Guest rich_m_04@hotmail.co.uk
i know its 6 weeks old and a little young but he is getting used to jumping things already, only small jumps but i was wondering could it be possible for me to start getting the puppy i have chosen to retreive socks and stuff just to get used to retreiving, or is it too young, but i have done a little bit here and there but he doesnt seem to be interested in the sock how ever much i wind him up and if he does once he has a caught it will leave it go. anyone got any tips just to get the little bugger retreiving and chasing the things i throw for it. Nothing wrong with starting him at this age....socks are a good tool to use..preferably one you have worn...lol..just give him time to get used to to his surroundings....keep teasing him with it and when he's worked up roll it along the floor....just keep at it! Tbh "teasing the hell out of it" isnt going to make your dog retrieve, im by no means a dog expert im learning myself as im only 17, this is just going to make it frustrated and rag f u c k out of ur sock/rag.
