Burnbank 0
Do most of my lamping from vehicle window and am probably going to purchase a shoot right rifle rest which attatches to the car door making a solid comfertable platform. Are there any other simpler solutions to this issue. Quote Link to post

Burnbank 0
I use the v between the mirror and the doorpost. Works perfectly Thanks for the excellent ideas. The Sako has a floating barrel so the wing mirrors no good.I really like the idea of the pipe foam on the window. The rest i was going to purchase would be fixed in one position which can sometimes limit a shot but the window can go up or down. I think a trip to B&Q is in order. I will let you know how i get on Thanks again. Quote Link to post

dicehorn 38
I attach three photos of my set up. This started out as a rough idea of what I wanted and I found it that comfortable, it became the finished article. This rest is for the passenger side, as if my mate is with me he will shoot and if I am on my own that is where I will shoot as it is more comfortable for a right hand shot. I do have one for the driver's side but that is rarely used' First piccy shows it on my bonnet http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq101/wyndog/DSCF0323.jpg This one shows it in place from inside the truck http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq101/wyndog/DSCF0324.jpg And this one shows it in place from the outside. I have pulled my mirror forward to increase field of arc. This rest is that comfortable I have the confidence to take shots well out past 250 yds. The cost of materials was less than £4 Quote Link to post
