stealthy1 3,964
Think most people have expirienced the same as you, vets as soon as they get ill, because they soon roll over when you dont. Quote Link to post

stubby 175
i have just split up my hob and jill they have been together since monday tuesday and the jill looks like it was about to keel over so thats why i split them up but i dont know if i should give them more time and whats best for my jill how long did you leave them for mate you should only leave them for 2 days max sorry to here about that its all about keeping a check on things, have kept ferrets for years, all together in the court, jills come into season at different times, as long as a daily check is kept, I assure you my hobs are left in longer than two days, but once the jills have been taken out of season(snipped hobs) the hob is not interested in them, presume they are not giving out the same smells, once most of the jills are out of season, the hobs are removed to cages, and only put back in, if a singular jill is still in season, the hob will find her, going around sniffing all the jills, and mating the one in season, I can say all this, as I stay, keeping an eye on things, rather than just putting them in a cage and leaving them Quote Link to post
The one 8,564
Aye same here everyday at feeding time check the jills over see whos coming into season and put them in with the snipped hob and those that are out get put in with the complete hob .Thats the thing wioth small animals you dont get a lot of time to notice anything before there in a bad way Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
This is where regular handling come into play and a quick look over your animals. Quote Link to post
