HarryL 0
Hello Gents, When I get back home I am going to put in for a variation. Now I understand to do this you must surrender your FAC and submit this with your application. The question is can I continue shooting with my .22 whilst my license is away. Would it be okay to carry a copy of your FAC or would it be a case of no shooting until your FAC is returned. Thanks in advance Harry Quote Link to post
speedystu 0
sticky one depending on your feo !!! but i asked the same when i put in for mine and he told me as long as i had a photo copy of my licence with me it don't matter!! martin 332
You'll be fine mate as long as you make a proper copy of it before you send it in...............'M' Quote Link to post
quicksilver 0
in n. ireland the police will also send you a receipt / letter for the application stating that you can continue to use your firearms and purchase ammo, the dealer is instructed to fill in the caliber and quantity on the back of the letter. I always take a copy to keep myself covered also handy in the event that your variation gets lost in the post as recently happened to myself. Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Good that you can buy ammo - in mainland UK you're stuffed - no ammo until the ticket is back but you can carry on shooting. Quote Link to post
quicksilver 0
agreed it is very handy, things have relaxed alot over here durig the past 5yr or more but unfortunately i can see hunting rifles and ammo being the first casualty of the recent political events. hopefully not but we will wait and see.
