Hello Gents,

When I get back home I am going to put in for a variation. Now I understand to do this you must surrender your FAC and submit this with your application. The question is can I continue shooting with my .22 whilst my license is away. Would it be okay to carry a copy of your FAC or would it be a case of no shooting until your FAC is returned.

Thanks in advance

Harry

in n. ireland the police will also send you a receipt / letter for the application stating that you can continue to use your firearms and purchase ammo, the dealer is instructed to fill in the caliber and quantity on the back of the letter. I always take a copy to keep myself covered also handy in the event that your variation gets lost in the post as recently happened to myself.
