mccroryart 0 Posted March 30, 2009 Report Share Posted March 30, 2009 This painting started out on Friday night as a standard head study but with guilty expression and the collar I started to think that the dog looked a bit like an accused man standing in the dock . The late great Mick Cawston was the master at painting animals as humans – I’m pleased with the result and might have a go at another one some time soon. I spent this evening searching the hills for a herd of horses I’ve been planning to paint – bump into them most nights but this evening when I had the camera they had vanished.
