gnipper 6,920
Has anyone had any decent success trapping crows with a normal larsen or does it have to be a side entry or a ladder trap? I've got a call bird. Cheers, gnipper Quote Link to post
steviebhoy 0
No you will catch loads. If you see them but they are not going in then try moving it just a few metres, always works for me Quote Link to post

gnipper 6,920
Right time to give it a go Gnipper as there pairing up and getting territorial I know mate, i've been at the maggies for a few weeks now but they aren't very territorial yet, only catching the odd one. My mate had his trap in what i'd class as a crap place and he's had about 24 to my 5/6 and he's had 2 cats and a tawny which were released unharmed . The maggies at work are pairing up now though. jaegervulpes 0
Works a treat with either side or top entry. Watch out for their beak though, they have a conciderably stronger grip than the magpie, trust me, you may know yourself ! Quote Link to post

Guest Rod&dog
Ive found crows are alot more keen to enter the side entry traps prefered to the top entry ones,,I have caught a fair few crows last summer in side (and top) entry larson traps,But side entry always worked better.
