Landed myself a new Shoot the other day

Recommended Posts

I arrived at a Cemetary the other day, a bit ahead of the funeral on which I was to work, and was chatting to the Super Intendant to pass the time.

He got round to mentioning the tree damage that has been done to the trees within the cemetary grounds, and I simply said that i have a cure for that sort of thing . . . :whistling::laugh:

He told me he has had several enquiries recently to the same effect, and usually passes them onto the cemetaries office for refusual etc., but then said that as he knows me well, he didn't and couldn't see any problems for me to start doing pest control with my air rifle there. He is more than willing and happy to sign my permission form and then i can start slotting them squizzers in earnest!! :)

It just goes to show that opportunities CAN and DO show up whenever and wherever you least expect them to.

To those of you who are still looking for places to shoot over: Don't give up - keep going, you WILL get there in the end!

Grim.

Yes Buster, that's quite true bud! It seems to me that, at the crems and cems, i would appear to have some sort of immunity from getting scared when i'm there 'after hours' - i don't what could possibly be the cause of that? . . . . :whistling::hmm:

nice work mate i was at a funeral last week and their was loads of them their and woodys .wunt like to go alone when its dark tho lol

Aww, it's no worry to be there alone 'after hours', so to speak - in fact, i think it is much the better for it really.

At these places, you will see an abundance of squirrels and woodies (plump woodies at that ;) ), as well as quite a few corvids - crows, maggies to boot.

Also, quite possibly, in the margins or open ground areas, you will often see a few rabbitses here and there too . . . . :whistling:
