That's true. They weren't made with scope rails so those that have them have been retro-fitted. Most of the ones I've seen done have been fit with the Weaver style dovetails witch are 22mm (I think). If your gun's got a scope rail fitted, and you're not sure what size it is, the only way to be sure what size is to measure it. Edited March 29, 2009 by andyfr1968 Quote Link to post
adeyhawk1970 0
The gun has been returnrd to the owner and he has been told the price of the open sights.Basically it looks like the gun is going back in the cupboard again for the next twenty years. The reason i asked was i did measure the scope rails and they were 16mm not the usual size for a scope rail Edited March 30, 2009 by adeyhawk1970 Quote Link to post

What a stunner John . My brother had a old MK3 many years ago, when I was a kid I spent many a happy hours shooting starling out of the bedroom window in the 70's, he also had the old Airsporter MK1 with the Auto tap which I also had some fun with back then, just a shame they wasn't still around as I would have had both restored........ cheers Jasper Quote Link to post
