silencer question

I recently got a parker hale silencer with a .177 gun that i bought 2nd hand. Can i use this silencer on my .22 rifle or are they made to fit a certain calibre? it does fit onto my .22 but i didnt want to try without knowing and risk fecking the gun and silencer.

mate bought new .22 rimfire with silencer and scope as a kit.

When he went out to zero it couldn't get less than a 6" group at 60yds.

Took it back when going for more ammo, asked the question and it turned out they'd given him a .177 silencer by mistake.

So I'm guessing that it will only affect your accuracy.

if its an air rifle moderator.......one size usually fits all.

you,ve probably got a parker hale rimmy silencer so it will affect your accuracy best off getting a hogan one for your .22

thanks for your replys. so do you think it will b okay to at try it on my .22 to see what its like, without the risk of breaking anything then?

Just try whatever ammo you're useing in the end of your mod to make sure it's not too small. If it's a loose fit and the mod's lined up with your barrel correctly, it should be fine.

First off it's a sound moderator, second, if you are in any doubt don't do it.
