Catapult hunting

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how many on you on here hunt with catapults/slingshots or any other names you have for 'em'

Im quite suprised how accurate they can be.

I know fishfish makes some very nice ones.

What would you guys say is the best readily available ammo? At min im using large rounde pebbles and are working fine for me.

my oldman used to do it when he was my age, use to silouette pheasant, he used led folded and hammered until round enough to be accurate.

i was reading the other thread for a while last night and im goin to have a go at nocking a catty up out of ply!

i work for a builders merchant and we do a 9kg roll of lead for £1.95 a kg plus vat, and im gutted as i threw an 8x4 sheet of 25mm ply away the other week because it was dirty and smashed on one corner so no body wanted it!  :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

cheers
