.223 steyr pro hunter

Recommended Posts

hi

i am thinking of buying a steyr .223 pro hunter mountain. Can someone tell me what the current mark / revision of this rifle, i spoke to a friend and he has the .243 MKII, i just want to check if this rifle is the current model, it is new.

Also i would be keen to get a feel for peoples opions of this rifle especially the lighter 20" barrel.

thanks in advance

With `jamie g on` that one mate. Spend a little more and get a Sako, it will hold its money much better.

what moderator do you recommend for this caliber, the gun is being sold with a shortened version of a t8 , the dealer wasnt able to recall the make over the phone but i am sure i can get it with a call back.

if its the shorter version of the t8 it will be the t4. there ok but if you want the best mod for 223 imo its the ase cqb

i and two other mates have them on there rifles and there superb.

the other thing on the steyr to watch out for is the stock mate. there abit flex in them from what i have been told

i do recall someone mentioning the flex issue of some rifle wether it was steyr i cant remember but i think they said about with a bipod on the stock came in contact with the barrel or atleast was very close , dont take my word on that have a look through past posts you may find it .
