hey guys my mate braught me a pheasant today and all i know about them is they have bitter taste. i have neva had 1 and this one is a fat thing so faught i will have it. how will i prepaire it for cooking can you guys help

The only time you will get a bitter pheasant is if it's been in the freezer too long, the fat can go rancid and spoil the meat.

 

Generaly speaking pheasant is a very tastie meat with a mild game taste. Don't hang it too long.. ;)

I've only had one bird go nasty on me stig, pheasant that is! :laugh: ...I think it must have been around from the previous year so get eating.. :bad: ...I did ask my local butcher how long game birds would last in the freezer, I think he said about three months. But, like I said I've only had one go bad on me.
