can comeone please tell me the best way to set them(i think they're called the dufus trap), ie, how to put both sides under tension. it seems quite awkward and when both go of, by god does it hurt when you get your fingers trapped between the top hinges!

I'm not sure exactly what your asking, but just set one side and then the other afterwards, then put the trap in the hole.

 

I've never been caught by one...yet :glare:

try holding the trap against your stomach push the loop down with your thumbs and flik the holding pin over with your index finger once its located in the hook it shouldnt just go off

then just turn it around and do the same again, it becomes second nature when youve done it a few times

If you think that hurts.........then try trapping your fingers in a Talpex As OTC said it is best if you can see how they are set either first hand or on DVD.
