ive been checking this earth now for over 20yrs, had afew digs from it over that time, it was one of my fav,s its not a big place but its shallow, just right for young uns, and low and behold what did i find today, some cock has messed it up big time, i cant beleive that someone could,nt be bothered to back fill a hole that is only 2ft to the bottom of the tube,can they not see that they have lost a good little earth for next year and many more after that, i will go back and try to fix it, but today i couldnt face it, who ever dug it will never be a terrier man or dog man thats for sure,

got that problem round here mate,never had a dig on one paticular earth myself but it always stinks and 3 times iv been and theres been a hole dropped, one time 2 holes...alot where i used to live aswell,trenched to death with pop bottles and fag packets all over,this sort of behaviour brings good earths on top and will sometimes be watched....last time i was down home we went to an earth thats been good to us and when we got there we found an old dig and lying close by was a backy tin with a local young lads name on,unbeleivable stupidity.no where near digging lads and never will be.

thats a shame but what i cant understand is why you didnt fill it in when you were there?if it was only two foot the a few minutes would have sorted, if the land owner seen you coming away from it then he will presume it was you who didnt back fill. i dont get it. if you had no spade or shovel with you i could understand but you just couldnt face it??? thats strange !!

dev its not strange mate i was just so pissed off, i walked off, i will back fill as its been ok to me over the years, it just got to me why didnt they, there was also one more hole left open, its in a place away from prying eyes,so there wouldnt be any pressure on to move on, and they just left it,

the north east s like that all over were i come from???i dont get that were i am now ,most of the places i hunt over now i have permission on(most) but if i did come across a dig that had,nt been back filled i,d have done it meself promptly..like i said am from n east and groing up i,d come across situations like that regularly...bad dog men i,d say...they have no right owning terrers never mind working them.but thats just my opinion..atb the genuine lads..darrell.

gotta back fill thats the rlues a have back filled holes other people have left open because they have given me fox and got more foxs outa them

a good back fill in terriers is esential,if a caught any one in my area not back filling what they dug up they get told in a not nice manner,if ye cant be botherd to back fill foook off out the digging job !!

i'm from the north east and yeah i agree , i'v seen some good earths ruined but i always back fill. even if the dig turn's into a late un and we broke through after dark. we would return next mornin and back fill.

Im from the noth east and people back filling isnt the problem its the fu cking local hunts block all the holes with boulders and huge logs!
