Recommended Posts

Am just about to start home loading and I was wondering if any of you could help, i want an all round load for deer and the odd foxs, I would be grateful for any advise, bullet weight, load, hollow piont or BT, currently i am shooting a 95gr BT federal. It is to be shot through a 20" barrelled blaser. Thank you.

Dont have a 243 - but do have two Blasers.

From the couple of friends of mine that shoot this calibre I would say (as we are talking mainly deer) to go as heavy as possible that your rifle will accept.

As someone has stated H414 is a good powder for the 243

Will give it a go and see how i get on, thanks.

Dont know where you live from your signature, but if you know some one who has a lot of experience with reloading, him standing over your shoulder is worth a thousand pages from a reloading book.

Dont forgat to start approx 10% below the book's max powder and work up from there.
